Blinkers work in 4 way emergency warning mode but not individually from push buttons. Suspect blinker timer faulty. However after wiring diagram for this scooter and possibly diagram of circuit board/s.
In addition best place in Australia to source parts and / or information.
Robin, Thank you. Have thought of similar action and will try when next able to see scooter. I will need to open dash of scooter to get to the switches but seems odd that both should malfunction, however may be the case. According to manual the blinkers self cancel after a set time (timer in control circuit board)and this is a common area which may be causing blinkers not to operate. Would still like to access a schematic of system as this will allow more functional fault finding and may allow an external fix.Robin,

IM NOT SURE.
BUT fix the emergency flasher failure
first using the logic, gee you see its busted, why on fix that and pray.
military doctrine does that too, and then says if 2 things wrong fix the simple one first. (getting lucky save time and dead solders)
10x that if related, and is. ! IMO
noise here, and bad emerg.. kind if same area.
the issue with the emerg. flasher is the contacts can mangle inside
and confuse related circuits. flashers, and warning modules.
1. Do your emergency flashers work?
Check all your fuses, make sure they are getting a good contact.
If your emergency flashers work, it may be a faulty turn signal switch.
If your emergency flashers work that will eliminate the flasher. The one flasher works both turn and emergency signals.
I had to take car apart to put in a heater core and after i put it back together I noticed no blinkers and found out that the wires for the emergency lights were loose, if those wires arent hooked up u will have no blinkers
Sounds like the blinker relay. Is the emergency flasher switch on the dash above the radio ? If it is the blinkers relay is the same as the emergency relay. If the blinkers stop working pound on the emergency lights switch and if they start working then replace the emergency lights relay switch cause the blinkers is on the same relay as the emergency lights. My 2001 Grand Am does the same and I just hit the emergency lights switch and they start working again.
Try the emergency blinkers and see if they work. If so the fasher relay is GOOD. Then turn th eleft blinkers on and grasp the hazard switch and push pull it side to side, if that gets it working you will need a Turn Signal Switch.
the flasher and the blinkers are serpent elements of the bulb and also have serpent flashers if none of your blinkers flash when manually doing it chock flasher it is round and usually by the fuss box some times on top there is also one 4 the hazard lights be sure key is on
