SOURCE: Hi i am using windows 7 and GN Netcom GN 8110-USB

HELLO, I THINK THE PROBLEM IS FROM YOUR WINDOOWS, IS EITHER YOUR WINDOWS IS NOT GENUIE OR THE SOFTWARE IS NOT PROPERLY INSTALLED, AND IF IT IS PROPERLY INSTALLED, ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS TO REINSTALL THE WINDOWS AND TRY INSTALLING THE SOFTWARE AGAIN, I BELIEVE THAT WILL WORK.

According to a Jabra Rep, there is a hardware update available that needs to be run on an XP machine, prior to installing the headset on Windows 7.

You can get the link by calling the Jabra Technical Support Team at (866) 697-8757.

How to make a GN 9350 unit work with Windows 7?

Skip dealing with it. You don't need the $110 BS "upgrade" as this is a driver issue. Jabra could very well have provided a downloadable and install-able driver for the GN 9350 that would work perfectly, and tell windows not to use the unsigned USB driver in the headset firmware.

Fortunately there is a quick-fix workaround... it is only a little bit of a pain (and proof that their $110 firmware upgrade is not necessary).
When you want to use the jabra with Win7:
1. Plug it into your computer via USB.
2. Go to your playback devices menu (right-click the speaker icon in the system-tray)
3. Set the GN 9350 as the default device for recording and playback.
(right-click, and test, should error (couln't play test tone)
4. unplug the power to the reciever/base.
5. wait 10 seconds.
6. plug it back in.

7. may need to set it as the default again, but you should be good for a while, just don't switch back and forth too much between computer and phone.

I have Vista as OS, when I plug in the GN 8110 USB. There is an installation process started, but in the set-up there is no audio device to be seen.

so far i have not found a single driver or program package for this device. the reason for this is the device was specifically designed for windows xp and running it in compatibility mode might fix it temporarily, but might cause issues elsewhere. if you choose to do so, you can :
  • Assuming you have the Installation program on the desktop(if it is on the CD then you will need to copy the contents of the CD to a folder on the desktop. create a new folder and drag and drop the files ito it.), right click on the program setup and select properties. in the properties tab there is a compatibility tab.
  • On the compatibility tab select the check-box for run this program in compatibility mode for Windows XP (Service Pack 3). then make sure the check boxes for disable windows themes and run this program as an administrator are checked.
  • click apply and then click ok. run the program now
this should work, but if not.........

the alternative is to buy the updated version. i have found several on the internet for really inexpensive prices to include this one: http://cgi.ebay.com/JABRA-GN-NETCOM-6299-829-105-BIZ-620-DUO-USB-HEADSET-/180542469641?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2a092b7609#ht_1531wt_905
this is the update for your model. i would suggest this one because windows vista/windows 7 supports it.

If you have any problems let me know and please leave positive feedback for me.

I have a Gigabyte GN-WPKG 802.11g/b Wireless adaptor, but I don't know how to set it up to recieve internet. Can anyone give me instructions? I have Windows XP Professional Home edition.

With the hardware installed you also need to insure that the drivers have been installed. You will need to use the software that came with it or use windows wireless zero configuration application with your wireless router.

Installation problem of Ethernet Driver

So, you have a "bootleg" version of Windows, and now you are needing "support" ??? Get legal, and then call Microsoft for support for updates downloaded from Windows Update web-site.

Can you access "DEVICE MANAGER", and then "ROLLBACK" the driver for the network adapter?
Not finding what you are looking for?
