- When sending out faxes (to anyone) from the Cannon CFX L4000 the receiving end is reporting that they are getting a straight line down- on one side of the paper.

its the problem of scanner glass on which you are placing the document to be faxed.from which thin glass the document passes on that glass either there is a hair like filament got stuck up and that is getting copied with all documents you send and that comes in all the receving faxes to others you send.get this glass cleaned and serviced internally as well as externally.also if still the problem.its the problem of inner circuit of the scanner a single point of the board is dead so its not copying and remainng black.so that board needs replacement.cost of the internal scanner circuit board under the glass is $30.
this are the only two possibilities.any of the one will help.check out.
