How do i stop charms keep from constantly popping up?

Sounds like somebody put a nasty virus on your Pc known as Windows 8. Ha just kidding but it is lousy. I run Linux Mint so I don't have to deal with such junk. At the Microsoft Community others are talking about your issue , maybe you can get some answers there. Good Luck.

Dont know how to switch my touchpad back on when it switches off without rebooting!!

This laptop has a special feature which allows you to double tap the top left hand side of the touch pad, and it will then enable, or disable the touchpad. If you see a orange light on the touchpad, then double tap the light, and it should enable the touchpad again. On a side note, you should be concerned with why the touch pad is disabling itself to begin with!

Can I disable the pinch-zoom from the mouse pad?

Hi,

Go to the touchpad icon on the taskbar and go to the pointing device properties . Go to the device settings tab, then click the settings button. On the left hand side there is a menu of items to select, click on pinch zoom and unclick the enable zoom box, press apply and ok. This should solve your problem.

Please let me know whether this works.

How to setup or enable wi fi from belkins to laptop wirelessly

  1. Connect the computer to one of the four LAN ports on your router.
  2. Open a web browser on the computer.
  3. In the address bar of the web browser, type http://192.168.2.1
  4. Click Login in the upper right-hand corner of the page. The router does not ship with a password, so just click Submit.

  5. Click on "Use as Access Point" on the left-hand side of the opened page.
    use_as_ap.jpg

Select Enable. This will give you the options to set the IP Address and Subnet mask for the router. These settings should match your existing network settings; by default the IP address will be set to 192.168.2.254 and the Subnet mask will be 255.255.255.0

Alternatively:

1. Click on LAN settings in the left hand menu.

2. When the LAN settings page opens you will make two changes.

Change the IP Address to something such as 192.168.2.47 or you can use 192.168.2.200. As long as the first three sets of numbers match your existing network, you will be fine.

3. Secondly you are going to disable or turn off the DHCP server.

4. Click the Apply Changes button.

1)Go to Start Menu
2)Choose Control Panel
3)Choose Network Adapters or Network and sharing center
4)Right click the wireless adapter (it should say disabled in grey letters beneath the adapter) Vista users will have to choose Manage network connections from the left hand menu before they will be able to see the network adapters.
