Hello . I don't know what model we talking about but you should have over 100 psi of compression on the cylinder . If not you have to replace the piston rings and maybe the piston . Hope this help

Whats wrong when my car looses compression and stalls?

Possibly not lost compression. May not be proper mix of fuel and air. Check the exhaust for blockage.

I have a 2042 and it won't start and turns over faster than it used to?

Seams like you may have lost your compression...Maybe due to timing broken valves, piston etc..Pull you plug or plugs and test for compression...can do simple text placing your thumb over the plug hole and turn the engine over just make sure your plug wires are covered so no shock or buy a compression tester at any of the local auto parts store. Fairly in inexpensuve..good luck....

Lost compression? Check that the timing belt has not broke. Is your camshaft still turning?

Car lost power while driving then cut off and will not restart was told its a broken crank shaft has no compression but belt turns and cams turn

Broken cranckshaft will have a knocking noise, did you check the compression, perhaps the cambelt slipped a few notches due to stretching. Check fuel supply.

My 2003 sunfire wont start its getting fire and gas and it turns but wont start why

Please consider following matters:
1. Ignition. Blue color fire is the the best ignition power 2. Gas. Check your fuel filter and injections 3. Compression. Combustion chambers should have enough compression to start the engine. Does your car lost its compression? Is the car has blue smoke on exhaust muffler ? Do you need top up oil regularly? All these things show your car has problem with compression.

NO GEARS WORKING

need more info...if you can turn easily ,sounds like you have no compression in engine..pull a plug and test for compression ..you may have washed down cylinder walls with too much fuel and lost compression....if so, you pull all plugs and squirt several sprays of motor oil into each cylinder and turn over to re-build compression........also if you jumped your timing chain, the valves would be open when they should be closed causing no compression, I would need more info on what its doing
