My Sony TDM-iP10 ipod port wont charge my ipod

I bought a sony TDM-iP10 media port adapter to attach to my sony surround sound. Everything works just fine except that it wont charge my ipod. I believe I have a 5th Generation video ipod if that makes any difference. Is there anything I can do to get my ipod to charge?

The media adaptor is not fully compatible with the latest ipod. If you add a Scorsche adaptor to the set up, it will facilitate the charging.

I just want to fix my ipod on it

I'm glad to provide the instructions to connect an iPod to the Sony Receiver. Depends upon the model, it is possible that the iPod can be connected to a Sony Receiver using a Digital Media Port Adapter. Purchase the Digital Media Port separately, connect the iPod to the Digital Media Port Adapter and then connect it to the Receiver. However, some Receivers are not compatible for connecting Digital Media Port Adapter. In that case, you can connect the Headphone output of the iPod to the Aux/Line input on the Receiver.
Please provide the model # of the Receiver that you're using so that I can provide more information about the specific connections. Thanks for understanding.

The dm port Can't you just pull the audio from the iPod from its analog headphone jack with an adapter? They're common and cheap.

IPOD shuffle will not charge

You may try charging it with an AC adapter that has USB output.

Most likely the battery is worn out and it's time to get a new iPod.
