Give this a try...
Go to your start menu / All Programs / Accessories / System Tools and select "Internet Explorer (No Add-ons)".
This will run a session of IE with all of the installed add on features disabled. Try going to a web page and seeing if you have right click ability now.
If you do then it is an addon that is causing the problem.

To find which one is causing it
1. Open a new IE8 window normaly. (Not the No Add-ons method)
go to the Tools Menu in IE8 and select manage addons.
Disable the Addons one by one until the problem goes away. Then renable the other addons that were not causing the problem.

If the problem still exists when you are running in no add-ons mode... try putting your cursor in an edit box in a web page and hitting SHIFT+F10 and see if that brings up the right click menu. (Will tell us of there is something blocking the context menu all together or just the right mouse click)

Hi you will have to go to the control panel then go to the internet options double click to open it, go to the advance tab on the top right corner click on that at the bottom you will find an option to reset, click on reset after that it will give you an option to close the window.
Then click on start click on run under run type iexplore and then click on ok it will open the internet explorer for you,
If this doesnot helps you will have to uninstall IE8 from the computer to do that click on start click on run under run type cmd press ernter you will get the command promp window under window type %windir%\ie8\spuninst\spuninst.exe or you can copy the command and paste it their follow the screen instructions, once done it will give you an option o restart the computer and that will fix the problem.

You can find the ie icon when you click on start right click and then click on send to desktop to create a shortcut.

Internet explorer wont open on my dell inspiron 1501, i have internet connection

try going to safemode w/ networking.

if you're using windows XP try this

to access that mode, shutdown the computer completely and after 20 secs turn in on again, as soon as you see the dell screen immediately strike F8 key continuously, if that is successful you should be at the advance menu options. use your arrow keys to choose and highlight safemode w/ networking and hit enter. if you see your operating system after just hit enter again.

once at safemode try to pull up internet explorer if still this doesnt work, go to the contol panel click internet options if your in classic view but if not click network connections first then click internet options. click the advance tab, that should be at the least right hand side, click reset which is under restore advance settings.

if your using IE8 at windows XP operating system, try uninstalling the IE8, to do that try the instructions below.

click start
click control panel
click add/remove program
find and click the IE8 then click uninstall or remove
then restart the computer

if still doesnt work try to install a different browser like mozilla firefox, google chrome or maxthon

and if still doesnt work then try to reinstall the operating system back to factory settings.

i hope this helps
Pls rate my resolution thanks!!

I cannot open any of my hotmail emails. It says

Hi,

You can try setting Internet Explorer 8 to it's default settings. Open IE8 and click on the tools tab on the top right hand side, select internet options, click on the advanced tab and click on reset.
This will reset all the settings of IE8 so if you have any favourites/bookmarks i suggest you back then up.
You will get a warning about resetting IE8, just carry on and reset IE8 and see if you can access hotmail emails.

You may also need to install Adobe flash player and java software too.

Regards.
