Question about Whirlpool AWG329 Front Load Washer/Dryer
Hi I wondered if anyone knew how to find out what has replaced the AWG329 in the whirlpool range? I want to replace my machine with minimal hassle so I thought perhaps the next model would have same dimensions / door panel fitting etc? Is this a valid assumption?

It sounds like you could have a short in one of 3 places – the start button, the timer, or the hot/cold water solenoid. The start button is the least likely so I’d first check out the solenoid. Does this happen when it’s set on hot only, cold only, and/or warm water? If so, probably you’ll have to get at the solenoid by opening up the top. Disconnect the wires to the solenoid and try again. If the circuit blows, it’s not the solenoid. If it doesn’t blow, replace the solenoid. If it’s not the solenoid, it’s probably a burned timer and you’ll have to replace that.
