My phone says the battery has overheated when charging and then shuts down. After this if I turn the p[hone on it gets warm and later hot within 5 or 10 minutes.

Was just on my LG Chocolate phone for about 30 min, plugged into my car charger, when the Heat Sensor message came on for my phone battery. My phone was HOT, not just warm. It wasn't burning hot, but I shut it off and popped out the battery for a few minutes. It seems to be fine now, but I've never heard experienced or heard of this issue before. What gives?

Same issue here. Phone intermittently gets hot...too hot/self destructing/remove battery message come up. But the main problem with this is that when this happens the phone goes from full charge to dead in probably less than an hour or so.

Unfortunately phone/Verizon plan just purchased over a year ago so neither Verizon or LG rep is helpful. Warranty is a year.

Compressor shuting down

Either the thermostat is prematurely shutting down the compressor or the latter is overheating and the clixon is shutting it down.

The defrost timer also will shut down the compressor and all fans but that is only once every 10 hours or so to defrost unit. In about t10 15 minutes the timer will turn the compressor back on.

Phone Shuting Down

My Env was doing the same thing. I took out the battery and cleaned the connection points on both the battery and the phone with alcohol. Also make sure the snap that keeps the battery in place has no slop in it.

Sounds like it might be getting over heated. You will have to clean out the cooling system.
