may be a bad thermal shut off , any error codes like F1 may also want to check ur push start button or dial with a multimeter, if its bad can get a buzzing and maybe a clicking
Not usually a dial problem. First make sure your breaker is not tripped. If the dryer was working fine and suddenly nothing works its usually a power problem. The other problem to check is the door switch. If its not the breaker/fuse panel let me know.
If a dryer is not working at all that's not good! But it doesn't mean you need to go appliance shopping just yet. It may be something very simple like a broken door latch, a bad door switch or even a broken door switch actuator, in a kenmore dryer there is a tab thats sticks out of a hole in the wall that allows the dryer to run only if the door is shut, other models may have button that protrudes out of the dryer and when the door is shut, this allows the dryer to run. These switches go out from time to time, also if a dryer is full of lint build-up over time this will cause the dryer high limit or fuse to blow. The fuse is located near where the blower is in most cases. When the air in the dryer gets way too hot the fuse/hi-limit will blow and the house wont burn down.
Hello mdonettaYou said, Dryer shut off towels were not yet dry, turned dial to restart dryer
acts as if it isn't getting power I closed door and pushed start
button. Nothing! Checked breakers and power cord at outlet all checked
okay. Any ideas.
yes, try unplugging the power cord or turning off the breaker for 5 minutes. Either will due. Some times the system needs to be reset! If this does not work there are internal fuses that can be replaced!
blower motor relay is bad or the dials are bad
heres a way to check the dials
turn off the gas and run the dials if at anytime the dials stick during its cycle then you know this is the fault this usually the commen issues of all dryers the dials just wear out and so parts just dont work
also check the door switch this could be an issue why it gets cold clean out all vents and filters after "every use"
