Kenmore Dishwasher 665.15891792

My dishhwasher will not start. There is no timer light on the console. Only the door lock light appears. When I push a cycle button i.e China wash, the door light flashes on and off but the china wash mode does not start. When I depress a cycle button for a few seconds that cycle button flashes on and off and again nothing displays on the timer console and the dish washer does not start.

It's unfortunate that this question has been posted since Nov. 18, 2007, but this is a non-problem.  If any curiosity (still) exists, the dishwasher is (or was) in its "Control Lock" mode -- provided as a safety measure to prevent injury to small children, etc.  This mode is exited, or entered, in the same way -- by holding the "No Heat Dry" button (or pad) for 4 seconds.  I hope a new dishwasher wasn't purchased because of this, as it's explained in the operator's manual (the "Use & Care Guide" pg. 16).
