When new, my pinseeker 1500 worked great at all distances. Now about 2 years old, I have trouble picking up flag distances more than 100 yards away. It will pick up larger objects at longer distances. I added a new battery, but that didn't improve anything. Also, the unit has never been dropped or subject to wet weather. The unit is too nice (and expensive) to give up on it. thanks, Jeff
The unit needs an alignment. Vibration and dropping the unit is the number one killer of rangefinders.....After a while of using them, (bouncing around in golf carts, cup holders, dropping them on the cart path, or the ground) small prisms start to move inside and decrease the units effective range.... (only able to hit a target at about 150 yards or less) People that use these type of instruments have to realize that the laser beam is the straightest line in the history of man!!!. Alignment is crucial!!!
Alignment is due. For all you players that think its okay to take off the eyepiece cap.....(bad idea) This is why you see oily looking spots or black spots in the view. Direct sunlight will be magnified and burn the surface of the LCD. Bushnell is good about warranties but, if you take it apart...the warranty is void!!!! So if its 2 years old or less.....(send a copy of the proof of purchase) .send it to them. If you have sunlight burns already...this won't effect the performance of the unit. Wait till something else is wrong.

Is it possible to get a parts break-down for my Bushnell Pin Seeker 1500 20-5103? When turning the eyepiece, it no longer "clicks" or stays in position. Looks or feels like detents are missing.

How do you clean sand out of your pin seeker? It was dropped along the cart path in an area of sand and sand got in the view finder. When you twist the end to open the lens, it sound really gritty. Is there any way to take it apart to clean it?

My Pinseeker 1500 seems to have lost the ability to read anything outside of about 120 yds, even with a fresh battery. Inside 120 no problem, outside it just acts as though I have not sighted in on anything. Any suggestions?
