Question about Bosch 24 in. SHU43 Built-in Dishwasher

1 Answer

Bosch dishwasher Hi there my dishwasher does not release the cleaning tablet from the container, there is a little blue tab which I press and this opens the little door, but I am guessing that during operation it fails. Any help gratefully received.

I have a Bosch dishwasher model # shx4ap05uc/06 and I want to silence the alarm for when it is done. It goes off every 10 minutes until you open the door

Hi,

Yes, you can switch the cycle completion signal off (or raise/lower the volume)

1. Switch the dishwasher off using the ON/OFF button
2. Open the door
3. Switch the dishwasher on again. (One of the wash cycle LEDs will flash.)
4. Hold the > button in. Continue holding it and press and release the Start/Reset button once, then release the > button.

"Clean" and one other LED should now be flashing. This indicates that the dishwasher is in the options/settings mode. If they are not flashing, start over at step 1.

5. Press > repeatedly, until the LEDs for "Clean", "Sanitized" and "Rinse Agent" are all flashing.
6. Press repeatedly until none of the LEDs are flashing.

The number of flashing LEDs indicate the volume setting . . .

0 = Silent
1 = Volume level 1
2 = Volume level 2
3 = Volume level 3

7. Press the Start/Reset button once to save the setting and exit the options mode
8. Close the door
9. Switch the dishwasher off.

Hope this helps. Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Regards,
BElectric

If i use combination tablets in dishwasher do i need salt & rinse aid, thank you.

Hi,

The combination tablets are very convenient and do work well but you will still need to use salt and rinse aid for the best results. The reason for this is that every dishwasher has a specific time or times that it needs that chemical (rinse aid or salt) to be released. The tablets will release it but maybe not at the best times.

I have a bosch dishwasher silence , when it finishs wash i open the door and find the tablet falling on the bottom or hanging on the container of the tablet part, which did not use at all..please advise,...

Check top basket is straight and moves back fully, remove top spray arm and check holes are not blocked. The water pressure from the top arm is deminished if they are blocked and once the dispenser door opens it is the top spray arm water that propels the tab into the tank. Also, check that when your tallest item is in the bottom basket it does not obstruct the rotation of the top one.
Hope this helps to give you a starting point to remedy fault.

Table stayes in dispenser although disp open

The coating is a PVA glue i find the best way is to soak the tablet in a small container in hot water till is disovles then just pour the mixture into the tray, the water will then wash the mixture out better leaving it nice and clean

MY GLASSES COME OUT OF AN OTHERWISE CLEAN DISHWASHER ALL SMEARED. WHAT IS CAUSING THIS?i USE BEST ALL IN ONE TABS AND HAVE NOT CHANGED ANYTHING EXCEPT I ADDED SALT.

Recommend you do the following:
1.) Stop using tablets or gels. Use a reasonable but not excessive amounts of Dishwasher detergant (powder form.) Start with a brand name like Cascade or Electrosol. 2.) Adjust your rinse aid dispenser to release less each load. 3.) Without adding any detergant for one empty load, place a glass or cup upright in the diswasher filled with white vinegar. Run through a normal cycle.
After doing these steps, if you still have problems with smearing, please reply with what is happening. Otherwise, please accept the solution.
Good Luck!

Not cleaning properly

You could be using the dishwasher at a higher temperature than the biological agents in the tablets can handle, and so become denatured and can't clean your dishes properly. I have had this problem a little while ago and found that using the "eco" setting (should heat the water to around 30c and has the added bonus of using less water) works well and makes sure that all of the dishes are clean.
It could also be a problem with the release system, where the door the holds the tablet can't release it on time and so the tablet does not dissove. Have a check to see if anything is stopping the door opening and see if there is anything you can do to make it release on time.
Hope this helps,
