Sounds like you haven't connected a garden hose to it and turned it on. Got'a have good water pressure to the machine to have it spray. Without the water connected, and you run it a bunch the pump may be burned out as it needs the water, to keep the pump cool. Even then it should spray water even if not boosted much. There's normally a water drain on the pump so water can be drained for storage. If it's lost or open it'll blow the water out that's coming from the garden hose.
I tried a few things and I'm not sure which was the trick or if it was a bit of all. I detached the sprayer hose from the container and put the hose and sprayer end in a bucket of water in case old spray was in the nozzle then tried spraying it in and out of the bucket for a while trying to dissolve any plugs. Still didn't work. Then I put the container up higher than the hose and sprayer and tilted container and tried spraying for about 15- 25 seconds and it started spraying again. Good luck!
Spray the nut with penetrating lubricant - I have had this problem
and this should work for you. You may have to spray more than
once and allow time to work. To contain the spray hold paper
towel behind the nut.
Hey, sorry for the confusion. Actually Ortho GroundClear can not be used in the Dial N Spray Hose End Sprayer because this sprayer will only dilute up to 8oz per gallon. This dilution rate is not enough for the product to be effective in keeping the area clear of vegetation. Hope this clears it up.

I think you have two problems. The leaking is old seals on either the containers, or on the other end (the machine). Try replacing them. There are various part websites for these.
The problem with the spraying could be the belt that turns the pump. Check it. If it's there its probably not it. The next thing could be the little plastic tubes that go to all the componets inside the machine tend to accumulate buildup. Make sure they are all flowing free. Next try the heating element (its inside the handle area) take it apart and clean it. If all those things are checked and it still doesnt work, it might be what was wrong with mine. The all on one container that holds fresh water and dirty water has a leak. I found mine would spray correctly if i had the lid off the container, and as soon as i would put the lid back on it would stop spraying. I found out that The suction going through the container to **** the dirty water in was also putting a suction on the clean water bladder which caused the water to stop flowing out of the clean water bladder. I ended up getting an all new container with bladder because i could not get anything to seal right due to its age and warpage of the plastic. So to determine if yours is the same issue. Just take the lid off the container and then try to spray water. It may take 10 seconds to get all the tubes primed again because the suction will actually **** all the water back up to the container. If you dont want to replace the container, just spray a few passes with the lid off, then put the lid back on to **** the water back up. Hope this helps. I might not write clearly for everyone to understand, but i hope it helps someone.
sound like the inside suction hose is loose or not fitting correctly. i had a similar problem and wrapped some duct tape around the tube then snugly fit it inside the cap. no outside air suction and it works fine. i've had mine going on 15 years and use it constantly.
you almost have to open up the unit and follow the hoses from the handle into the base.fill it with solution and turn on pull triger.hold the triger in and turn off the unit keeping the triger pulled.turn off and start it up and try again.if it don't spray you might have a bad pump.open up the unit and see if all the hoses are hooke up.there should be a plug on the handle .is it plugged in.please leave feedback.i hope i was some help to you...pet
pull hose off sprayer and check for water pressure if pump is pumping water then jet is blocked use a small sowing needle in the jet to unblock jet dirty water blockes them get someone to hold the swich down while u do this wear saftey glasses when u do this u dont want dirt in your eyes
slow water run could be caused by the filter on the cold water hose is clogged by granite or mineral deposits
1. turn off the water to the cold hose
2. drain water out of hose and detach from washer
3. get a water spray bottle and set to strong stream not spray,
spray the filter that goes into the machine, this should clean out the debris that is clogging the line hold a small container to catch water when you spray if you see black specks it granite
4. after it runs clear reattach hose and turn the cold water back on that should solve your problem, it did the trick for me
