If this is the stock radio for this car call the car manufacturer dealer (ford, chevy, etc), they will Ask for your vin number, and they can provide you with an unlock code, this is usually the only way, as each radio has its own custom unlock code associated with the particular cars vin, and also the serial number on the back of the radio. If this radio came from a different car , you will most likey have to take it to the dealer, so they can unlock it for you using their computer.

I have an in dash vehicle stereo, no power to it after changing vehicle batteries. Is there a reset button in the stereo. Model # 3L3T-18C815-AA. Fuses are fine.

Some have internal fuses some have a fuse on the back if you have wired the battery incorrect and the radio was connected to the battery terminals you have probably fried the stereo.

Stereo code bf ford

Hi, have the same problem and here is the answer. Go to ford with your vin number off the car and they can tell you the code. If your radio has been changed like mine has for a second hand one from the wreckers like mine by the previous owner, then you need the vin number of the car it came out of, or you need to pull out the radio number and get the serial number off the radio itself. Then go to Ford. Apparently they do not charge to tell you the pin number. But if they pull the radio out to check the serial it could cost $60 or so for the labor but then you will have the pin number.

I need a code for the car player of honda accord

If you're looking for the code to program your car stereo, you will need to remove the stereo, and get the numbers off the back side of it. Once you have the numbers from the back of the stereo you will need to call the dealership and have them look up the proper program codes. You will also need your VIN number.
Good luck

Lost the code for my car radio

Pull the radio out and record the model number and the serial number off the radio chassis, along with your VIN number and the radio numbers go to your local Ford dealer and ask them nicely to look up your theft deterrent code for your radio, most will do it for free.

Factory stereo code

Factory radio codes are an anti-theft deterrent, they are unique to each radio and car serial number, in order to get the code the dealer will have to access the manufacturers data base, you will need to pull the radio and record the radio model number and the serial number of the chassis of the radio and take it to the dealer, they will not in most cases give the info out over the phone, this would defeat the whole purpose of the code.

1992 960 volvo wagon 208k. Daughter left lights on drained battery - jump started and driving well, however stereo won't work now. Any ideas????

If it is a combined radio/stereo system the drained battery may have caused it to lose it's code - you will need to re-enter the radio code to make it work properly. This is similar to removing the battery from the car - you have to re-enter the radio code before the radio will work.

If there's no power at all to your stereo it's possible that jump-starting the car has caused a power surge that has blown a fuse. Depending on what type of radio/stereo is fitted, there usually is a small in-line fuse in the wiring at the rear of the unit. Check the fuse.
