Your internal parts on the cleaner may be worn. You can check this bu holding the cleaner underwater with it running and hold the feet and see if you can stop them from folping up and down, if you can then the
"A" frames are worn out inside the unit.

The washing smells of dirty water, have tried all sorts, but cannot get rid of the smell.

Several things to try:

Check the empty pump filter, that may be clogged with smelly debris
Ensure that the empty pipe is correctly inserted into the drain pipe and that there is a trap on the drain that stops smells coming back
Finally (This may sound odd) with no clothing in the machine, throw 3 dishwasher tablets in the drum and run it through the hottest cycle the machine can run. Smells can often be bacterial caused by biological washing powder which builds up bugs in the machine. Dishwasher tablets are anti-bacterial and will kill the bugs.

Slow or no drain of water. cleaned out sump covers and ran drain cleaner thru cycle. looking for possible secondary filter.

Hi, if the water doesn't drain from your dishwasher, check the drain line and pump..

A clog in the drain line or air gap (if there is one) is the usual reason that a dishwasher won't drain. Often the problem is at the point where the drain line attaches to the garbage disposer or household drain line. If you remove this line, you can clear any debris from the hose or hose connection. Be sure to reattach the hose before starting the dishwasher again.

Your dishwasher pump ejects the water. The pump is usually mounted directly to the motor, then attached to the bottom of the dishwasher. You can reach the pump from inside the dishwasher, but first you need to remove the lower rack, the spray arm, and the spray arm support.
Look for an impeller--a round plastic fan blade-type of device that spins around. This is the wash impeller, which forces the water through the spray arm. Beneath the wash impeller is the drain impeller, which is similar in size and shape to the wash impeller. The drain impeller pushes the water toward the drain port. These components make up the pump. If any of the pump components are defective, you need to replace them.

Hope it helps...

I have the 9150pw4. Is it normal for water to stay in the discharge pipe at the pump when the wash cycle is over? Or should all lines be empty?

Yes it is normal for some water to remain in the drain hose. As the pump drains all the water out of the machine and begins to draw air, the water that cleared the pump will not have anything behind it to push it out. You should not have any water remaining inside wash tub however.
Hope this helps you!

Standing water in bottom of dishwasher

The first thing to try is to clear out debris from strainer area, you may need a Philips head screw driver for this. Clear out and then attempt to put the unit through its cycle.

The second thing I would try, is unattach drain hose from drain to sink, either blow in it or use a blower side of shop vac to force air into the hose. Reset dishwasher, and try again.

Not knowing how handy you are, you can pull the dishwasher out, please turn off circuit before doing so, also make sure you have towels handy. Unattached drain hose at base of drainage pump. Clear out hose and remove debris on bottom of pump. Reattach the hose and run through cycle..

If these do not work your issue is with a bad pump.

If there is a

If the psi is at the normal range for your system, the psi will increase as the debris fills up in the tank. This will take a while depending on the pool size and debris levels in the water.

If the psi is lower than normal, you my want to check your pump basket for air in there. If there is air in the basket, you have an air intrusion. Usually caused by bad o-ring under the basket lid.

As for the water, have you tried a clarifier? What is the water like? Cloudy or something else.

Wash stops, beeping, flashing F and 02

I'll just take a swing at this one, without model number.............F-02 is typically a Whirlpool error code for " slow drain". If this is a Kenmore or Whirlpool front loader, pull off the bottom panel and check the pump filter, (pump should be right up front, turn counter-clock-wise to remove filter) clear of any debris, check hose from tub to pump as well. NOTE! If there is water in the machine, it will pour out of the pump, first remove the water either with a wet-vac, or just do it very slowly and carefully at the pump, draining the water into a pan.

Kenmore dishwasher various problems

The portable dishwashers of the 70's and 80's often had one area of problem, and that was the pump getting jammed with debris and food.

To eleminate this problem, you will need to open up your dishwasher carefully, and drain all the water and gunk from your dishwashers rinse hose. I recommend taking the machine outside and use a low setting pressure hose (garden hose). With the hose off the rinse side, run the water through and see if it comes out of the pump's housing. Let it run for a few minutes.

The pump also has a switch that also goes with the run cycle. This switch thinks there is not enough water or it thinks it has done its job.

Sometimes replacing the timer helps, but first eliminate the lower hose situation first. If that doesn't help, you will need to then replace timer. If this doesn't help, most likely your pump is most likely jammed or malfunctioning.
