Call your service provider they can block the incoming messages for you, or There are if you google your handset model, ways to block unwanted messages, also depending on your location/country there are regulated numbers provided by your service provider that will give you a number to forward this message to & they can block the number from contacting you further, sorry without knowing your provider & country I can't advise you further, sorry hope this has been of some use to you..
Issue is not with your phone.. Your wife's phone or network might have a problem.. Wat about the msgs sent to others from your wife's phone.. Check the message centre number in your wife's phone.. If it's correct(Find it from the network provider) remove it and restart the phone. Or try entering the same message centre number. (No proofs, but stillthis cliche works... Try restarting the phone, remove the sim and insert it properly again.. Use a different sim in your wife's phone, send a few msgs, check it works.. then try sending msgs from your wife's sim from her phone).. Reply back if it works...
