It could be that you have it set to the wrong input. Use the input button on your remote control to go through all the different inputs, unti you find the right one.

I have a spectronics tv....get a no signal across the screen...HDMI cable connecting tv to cable box U-verse. Happening more frequently now

Does this do the same thing on say a DVD player? could be your HDMI cable, your U-verse box & lastly the Main-I/O PCB. I'm thinking the most likely issue is with U-verse.

Hi I have acer laptop, I have a cable one end is hdmi and the other side rgb, is there a down load driver so it will work. thank you

If you're trying to display output from the laptop to the Vizio you'd be better off using an HDMI to HDMI cable. The VGA port on the Vizio E320 only supports 640x480 resolution; you have to set your display output accordingly, usually in control panel. Using HDMI you're able to keep the signal HD, @720p. The E320 also supports 1080i, but you're not going to see all 1080 lines. If for some reason you're trying to go from the Vizio to the laptop it just doesn't work that way.

Vizio tv no signal

Vizio's have an input button on the remote. Be sure to check all of the connections listed. It is important to know how your cable plugs into your TV. I.E. Cable, HDMI, etc. looking at where it is plugged into on the tv will help you to ensure that you have the correct input chosen. Also be sure your cable box is turned on. If it is off or unplugged your vizio TV will not register a connection.

I hope this helps!

I have an e470vl vizio hdtv. i was plugging another component into the wall when the whole outlet sparked (biggest i have ever seen/felt). the tv and dvd player were connected to a power strip to that...

first of all just switch off everything then switch off the mains, open the mains socket as there might have been a loose connection to the terminals which you`ve got to tighten. also confifrm that the earthing is well connected before you switch on .
swtch on the mains then switch on your devices one by one, also confirm that the VGA cable is well connected to the display unit

Sreen blue, no signal floating across screen

Hello
Check all the signal cables at the backside of your Vizio for firmness. If there is any loose or bad cable connection, especialy with HDMI; will poise this problem. Check the input selection also. If improper input selection is done, there will be no signal logo will fly around. If you have selected TV instead of HDMI, when HDMI is connected and you want to see the programme, is an example of improper signal selection. Check these. OK.

Hdmi will not work only use of component cables will.

Hello

The HDMI[1] input on your TV receives digital audio

and uncompressed digital video and audio from an

HDMI device or uncompressed digital video from a

DVI[2] device.

This input is designed to accept HDCP[3] program

material in digital form from EIA/CEA-861/861B-

compliant[4] consumer electronic devices (such as a settop

box or DVD player with HDMI or DVI output).

The HDMI input is designed for best performance

with 1080i high-definition video signals, but will also
accept and display 480i, 480p, and 720p signals.

To connect an HDMI device, you will need:

• one HDMI cable (type A connector)

For proper operation, it is recommended that you use

a short HDMI cable. You should not encounter

difficulty if you use an HDMI cable shorter than 16.4

ft (5m).

HDMI cable transfers both video and audio.

Separate analog audio cables are not required (see

illustration below). Some CDVs (video CDs) may

not output digital audio signals. In that case, you

may hear sound by connecting analog audio cables.

However, if you connect analog audio cables with

this connection, the HDMI terminal on the TV will

not receive the HDMI digital audio signal and you
will hear analog audio only.

To ensure that the HDMI or DVI device is reset

properly, it is recommended that you follow

these procedures:

• When turning on your electronic components,

turn on the TV first, and then the HDMI or

DVI device.

• When turning off your electronic components,

turn off the HDMI or DVI device first, and
then the TV.

To connect a DVI device, you will need:

• one HDMI-to-DVI adapter cable

(HDMI type A connector)

For proper operation, the length of an HDMI-to-

DVI adapter cable should not exceed 9.8 ft (3m).

The recommended length is 6.6 ft (2m).
• one pair of standard analog audio cables
OK

when you hook up the cable, what type of connection do you use? if you're using HDMI then try some other connection. Cable box seem to have HDMI connection problem. Also make sure that what ever the input you hook the device to, you have that input selected.
