To start test the connection cable, and check if switching to a different kind of connection problem persists. For example if you are using HDMI, try RCA or composite cable to test. If the problem happens with the built in tuner, test unplugging all other cables apart power and aerial.

Try also leaving the TV unplugged overnight, and to test place a portable AC in the room where the TV is located, Plasma TV are sensible to climate factors such as temperature and air pressure.

If you replaced already the logic board , you already excluded a problem with the video processing section.

That means that the problem concerns the voltage to the plasma panel, or that you have a faulty plasma panel.
This is fixed by accessing the back panel on the TV and regulating voltages with the aid of a voltmeter, adjusting VE and VS, and VSet values. The right values are usually written on a stickers inside the TV, behind the back panel.
The values are usually adjusting acting on potentiometer while reading the voltage at the same time.

The job is quite delicate and for safety reason must be done by an experienced repairman.

If that is not enough , sometimes a faulty sustain board in rare occasions can cause same problem.

Usually you fix the problem regulating voltages within factory recommended settings for your TV.

Regards.

Yep, the first thing to do is locating the pots at the back and adjusting voltages. If that does not work, ensure it is not a bad soldering joint to the signal board used, then eventually you can go for a sustain boards kit, even if that will be a bit risky, since sustain boards causing this kind of problems are difficult to spot.
In that case a service manual to check Sus Boards volts would be helpful. Parts and service manual can be purchased from Partstore or Encompass Parts (Vance Baldwin).

    regards.

Black screen on my sanyo

Call Sanyo. The 800 number is on your remote. Insist on talking to a supervisor and you may get somewhere. I had to do this and Sanyo called today to tell me to take my tv to the shop. They are paying for parts and I have to pay labor to get it fixed. Repair shop said $35.00 to look at the set and if it's just to boards that need to be replaced, it wouldn't be too expensive. We'll see.

Sanyo told me they haven't gotten many complaints on this tv, DP42746, 42" Plasma. You guys have to call them and complain.

I get white speckles on black parts of my picture

In years past the problem was created from something that has a bad motor in the area of your house or on the power lines. The 'speckles' sound like ignition noise. I have traced them to strange things as a butter control in a refrigerator. To be sure if that this is causing your problem you can take a radio and tune it around 550 mhz and you will hear a crackle or buzz. Best to use a battery operated radio and wave and walk around until you get the loudest noise and that will be the source of your 'speckles'. Could be as simple as a loose connection in your panel box.
