Question about Samsung HLN5065W 50" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television

1 Answer

I have the same problem with the green verticle lines.

I have the same proble with the green verticle lines. When I disconnect the power source, wait a few minutes, re-connect the source, the picture clears up. A technician looked at my tv (Samsung-HLR5067W) and stated that I needed a degital board (BP 94-02084A), and that the part is no longer available. I called J& J Parts 1-800--627-4368, and the representative stated that the part is on back order, and was still being made, and would be available for order on the 29th of this month. I don't understand how this company allow mix information going out to the customers - confusing and poor business practice.

Most older projectors are going to be harder to find parts, soon the flat screen price will drop and everyone will be able to afford them and soon projector will be absolete just like the old computers monitor now its all flat screen, we went from 8 tracks to CD and now to memories chips. that person you spoke to may have a bad day who knows. If you need help getting the parts and have dificulty locating one and you already know the problems and have the part number, you can contact your local TV repair shop and they will more access to getting those parts, keep in mind they do those all day long and they charge you a bit more but it sure beat gitting all the head ace locating those parts and getting the run around on the phone..Good luck.

No picture on acer 19inch monitor

Disconnect all cables including power.
Wait 5 minutes.
Connect ONLY the power cable.
Does it come on?
If not, take it to a shop.
If it comes on the the source cable or video card is the issue.

Green verticle line on right side of image

Your color convergence is out of adjustment. You can adjust yourself with a service manual telling you how, or take it to service shop and pay about $400.

The verticle lines roll ...what causes that to happen

Ground loops. Its a power issue. A very common issue and difficult to troubleshoot. Try disconnecting one source at a time. Usually has something to do with an improperly grounded cable line, cheap lighting dimmer, or bad electrical.

Verticle black bars

Check the connections on the flat cables to the screen. Be sure first to disconnect the power supply from the x and y sustain boards before you disconnect any of the flat cables.you will burn the cables from the stored energy in the power supply, also check cables on c boards at bottom of screen. If this does not fix probably bad panel.

Press the Menu Key on your remote. If your menu shows clearly on the screen, then there is a problem with your source.

Sylvania 6427FF TV displays wavy verticle lines at top of the screen.

I would suspect defective filter capacitors in the sweep circuits as well as the power supply source voltages.
