Medion PC MT5 - Sound Problems

Hi, I recently re-installed XP SP2 but I am unable to get the sound to work. Basically, the driver will not load - I assume it is on the recovery CD that came with the PC. The PC is about 4 years old and there is no sound card as such - the connectors are integrated onto the motherboard. I have tried downloading various other drivers but with no success. I'm not sure which driver to use as the sound device is referred to as 'Multimedia Audio Controller' with no other details.

The device ID is:

PCIVEN_1039&DEV_7012&SUBSYS_53301462&REV_A0&61AAA01&0&17

- Thanks for the info - unfotunately, the sound driver does not appear in the list. However, I now have the phone number for tech support (an 0870 number! very reasonable).

You need to enter the machine's model number on this screen and then download the latest drivers from the Medion web site:

http://www1.medion.de/downloads/?lang=uk

- PS: Another way is to open your machine's case and try to find numbers on the motherboard which you can look up on the web, and then get the drivers from the motherboard manufacturer's web site...
