It sounds like the spring or coil is damaged. try to open the product and see what happens with the spring. it's an easy fix to replace a spring. but you will have to open it first

This toaster stays down with an electro-magnet which for some reason has decided to stop holding down the weight of the springs within the kitchenaid toaster. This really is a shame considering I bought this due to my experiences with the professional grade kitchenaid items.. No idea how to fix I am tinkering lol

Actually just fixed it, remove the screws on the bottom of the toaster on te side where the handle is after removing the case remove the rod holding the handle mechanics, I then cut a quarter of the spring, placed it all back together. Wah-lah working toaster. Still turns itself off and actually has enough "spring" left in the release to lift your toast. Annoying that I had to do this. But at least my 3 dollar purchase at the goodwill was well worth it.

Hatchback won't lock on saab 9-3

I had the very same problem with my 2002 Saab 9-3 after I manually moved the trunk latch to the locked position "out of curiosity..." Then I noticed there is a handle you can pull to release latch opening it up! Very simple remedy... It is a glow in the dark green plastic handle hanging down when the trunk/hatch is open dead center, just in slightly behind latch... Gently pull handle until you hear and see the latch click into the open position...Let me know how You make out. BTW: Toyota Camry has the same set up,same color as well...lol Good Luck!

De Longhi CT021.A x 2 slice toaser - Won't stay down

Is it plugged in. You may have to do a little handy work, unplug the unit and look to see where it catches when the handle is in down position, you may have to open the bottom door. There is a little catch when the handle is down it may need to be bent a little not much.

It may have just popped out of place and needs to be re-adjusted, but if that''s not the case then the modular head has broken on the ice maker and it should be replaced

97 Mercury Mountaineer driver side door won't open. Outside handle flops around; inside handle won't open door

Try a slim jim first, down the side of the window. Or AAA or locksmith. If no luck, remove the seat first. Find the screws and bolts around the door handle and arm rest. Most Ford's have screws around the outer side of the panel. I don't believe your's does. The panel lifts or pops off. Once the panel is off, you can reach down and open the door. Just a note. I have done some to where the panel came out in pieces.

I have a crank style patio umbrella that won't stay up when we try to crank it up. How do I fix this? You crank it up and it just rolls back down when you let go of the crank.

We had the same problem. We simply used a bungee type cord to hold the crank handle in place once the umbrella had been opened.

Where do I find the front hood release on the car?

Bottom left next to driver's door is the pull handle.
Reach under the hood (you may have to pry a bit to get your fingers in there, particularly if the hydraulic gas lifts are dead so the hood stays down), slightly down and right from center. There's a flat lever you'll push right to release the catch.
Have about a 4' stick handy to prop it up if the lifts are dead, and make sure it's someplace which won't slip, if you do that.
Lube the mechanism with light oil such as 3-in-1 while you're there, and replace the lifts if they won't hold the hood up, not a big deal to do or costly...
