How do i get online with my xbox 360?

You will need to purchase a xbox live silver or gold credit. You will also need to connect your xbox to a router or switch that has access to the Internet. If you do not have a router/switch near by your xbox you can purchase a wireless gaming adapter to connect your xbox wirelessly to your wireless router.

Could you tell me in steps how to conect to xbox live

Step 1 Form your Xbox 360 you need to be connected to the Internet by a straight LAN line or wirelessly. You can test you connection by going to the setting screen on your Xbox 360.
  • Step 2 Once connected to the Internet for your Xbox 360 go to your main account screen and find the tab that says "Join Xbox LIVE" click on that link then follow the simple instructions that the Xbox LIVE will provide. At this point you should have a name in mind for your gamer tag.
  • Step 3 Xbox 360 LIVE has several different options available for memberships. They are a monthly, 3-month and 12-month membership accounts. I would recommend a simple one month account if you just wanted to check out the features offered on XBOX 360 LIVE. If your an avid gamer and love to play games online with friends, the 12-month Gold membership is the way to go.
  • Step 4 Once you've completed the process of joining Xbox 360 LIVE, they will send you a confirmation email confirming your membership. Now you can log on to Xbox 360 LIVE and start doing this like customizing your avatar and playing online multi-player games.

    Trying to get xbox live

You have to purchase an xbox live membership, and then you can connect with an ethernet cord right to the consel from your modem, or purchase the wireless adapter for it.

    Xbox 360 wireless

There should have been an instruction manual that came with your wireless adapter. But anyways, you may be connected to a password protected router and need to put in the password via the dashboard. I'm pretty sure you would goto network settings and then select the network you'd want to connect to.

    Cannot connect to Gateway

Lots of people seem to be having problems with wireless adapters, I don't know about ethernet cables, but I have done some searching for you and if you click on the link below and scroll 2/3's down the page, there is a screen shot of how you can connect your 360 to the net from your computer. (it's not a fix to your direct problem, but it is a short term fix)

    I hope this helps

Hook up wireless network to play xbox 360 online.

    Hey Lil Man23,

There are two things that you'll need in order to connect your Xbox 360 to the internet wirelessly: a wireless router and a wireless network adaptor. While both of these may often be obtained through an internet service provider (ISP), you can generally purchase both hardware devices from a local retail store.

In order to connect to the internet, your Xbox 360 will need to be set up in what is referred to as "infrastructure mode." This essentially means that your Xbox 360 will be set to connect to a single access point (the wireless router) in order to access the internet. If you're not quite sure how to do this, you should be able to find step-by-step instructions on how to do so in your owner's manual, or by using Microsoft's Xbox 360 Connectivity Wizard:

If you're still not quite sure how to proceed, I would strongly suggest contacting your ISP for further assistance. Many ISP's are able to provide home networking services for their subscribers, but remember that there may be a charge for any in-home services provided by your ISP or any third-party company.

    Hope this helps you out.

    Connect to wireless

I believe the X-Box does NOT have Wifi built in? (sic)Surprisingly, the Xbox 360 doesn't have wireless networking built in. If you don?t fancy using the wired Ethernet method, you can invest in a wireless networking adapter. Microsoft has its own adapter specifically designed for the Xbox 360, but third-party Wifi-certified devices will work just as well.(sic) From the below site. So that may be ya problem?
