Sony hi 8 camcorder tape stops after a few seconds
sony hi 8 camcorder tape stops after a few seconds and shows flashing symbol shaped like a little house. I can eject the tape and reload it but it only plays or record for a few seconds. It's like all of a suddent the motor doesn't have enough power or something is binding . This is the second Sony Camcorder that has ended the same way. Of course the Sony Affiliate repair shop wants $100 just to look at it. Wonder if any one knows of a Do it yourself solution.
