Question about Car Audio & Video

Hello, just a follow up on my first problem about the wiring harness for my 2007 ford expedition. i have acquired the integration Wire Harness you mentioned and it fit perfectly for the smaller plug. it has 2 blue wires and 2 RCA cables connected to the harness plug. nothing is written on the blue wires. do i just connect them to the speaker wires? and i believe the 2 RCA should be plugged into the RCA ports of my aftermarket stereo. thank you.

thank you so much, so i would just leave the smaller plug in alone?

Hi

No. You probably do not need to connect these wires at all for your stereo to work- just leave them blanked off.

Usually these blue wires are for one to actiavate an electric antenna and one to turn on the amplifier. Your new stereo should amplify without these being connected. If not post up a comment and let me know.

Many thanks.

I have a 99 expedition Eb and all my windows stopped working.checked fuses also bought a different window switch and now i hooked a separate ground right to battery still don't work.Any suggestions?

If fuses/circuit breaker ok..... Look for broken wires where the wire harness comes out of the door and into the vehicle. You will have to cut the rubber boot encasing the wire harness and inspect the wiring. Broken wiring is common on older vehicles as the harness flexes each time the door is opened and closed. If broken wiring found, repair as necessary

I plugged in my aftermarket radio in my 98 ford expedition but i still get no power

According to ford truck forums online, the constant battery wire may be lite green and purple, the switched power may be pink and lite green, and the ground is black and lite green.
The battery wire is for memory.
Is that what you need to know ?

Im trying to install a new radio into 1997 Ford Expedition w/premium sound. However I cannot get any sound. I have the wriring harness.

Hello... I am sorry to hear you are having a problem I am assuming that you are using a wire harness adapter to interface between your factory harness and the aftermarket radios harness. If the aftermarket stereo has a blue/white wire, you need to connect it to the blue and the blue/white wires in the adapter harness. This will turn on the amplifiers. If your aftermarket stereo only has a blue wire, then use it as the connection with the blue and blue/white on your aftermarket harness adapter. Hope this helps. If you need any further assistance, let me know!

2004 Ford Expedition, battery draining while sitting overnight. Identified wiring harness which is drawing power while off. Harness plugs into the back of the fuse box. 5 wires in harness Orange wire,...

Start pulling fuses, one at a time, with an AMP meter in series with a battery cable. When you find anything over a few Mili Amps still on,you found the item, assuming every system has timed out. Some may take 15 min to do so. 40 Mili Amp will always be there, to power memory, clock, etc.

Trying to connect a teekonsha voyager brake control to a 2003 expedition

Their should be a 6 pin conector that only 4 pins are used somtimes a 5th wire is installed for illumination, don't worrie about using that one. The connector is located in one or two different spots, the most popular place is under the dash on the drivers side just below the steering column the connector is grey. The colors are black or red / blue / green / white and sometimes a small black or brown wire is for illumination, don't worrie about that wire. Their are wiring harnasses for sell to hook the brake control through the conector, but if you do not want to buy an adapter hook the wires as followed: Vehicle Brake Control
Black or Red Black
Blue Blue
Green Red
White White
Black is power in to the brake control
Blue is the trailer brake feed
Green is brake signal
White is Ground for the brake control

Replacing the alternator again!!!!

You have a Bad Common Ground. Check the Ground on the Battery and there is a Ground wire coming from the Alternater Wiring Harness. You may need to get a Voltometer From a Auto Supply Store and Check the Harness.
