Remove cover and battery and sim etc remove 4 screws that you see using a opening tool or an old sim card run it round the first seam and it will seperate. remove the centre screw and the plug next to it and remove the block by lifting up.carefully free the camera button and volume flex from there position at the side then lift the lock on the thin flex at the top of the board. lift the board from the bottom of the phone and turn it over towards the top so that you can undo the plug flex then the board can be removed the small thin flex should just slide out. next remove the six small screws off the slide part and lift that clear, then remove the two screws that hold the last plate run opening too; up the sides and the plate will free lift it out from the bottom up.whats left is the screen and camera remove and replace what you need then rebuild in reverse using new flex

Pantech MATRIX C740 slide hinge has come loose. How do you take the phone apart to fix? (Pantech Matrix and Duo are not the same phone)

i suggest not taking the phone apart. 5 of my friends and myself have the matrix and after flipping it a couple of times the hinges are always going to feel loose. they have felt that way on mine for over a year. and if you take it apart, the senor bars for the keyboard will go out and you will have to get a new phone or just use the number pad

does your phone still work after being submerged?? i did the same and it was toast...

the screen is layered...glasss, lcd, and they are not meant to come apart. The phone needs to be left out, taken apart as far as you can get to air out. Leave it for a day or so, and put together. Hope this helps

Changing the LCD screen on a Samsung A-737

I had to take my sons phone apart when it got wet. I believe the screen was held in with some type of double sided tape. But you have to take the phone completely apart to get to it. I took it apart about 6-8 months ago and it is still working.

Takin apart

do not, do not, do NOT take it apart !! :) that will void ur warranty. as it is, if u are within ur first year, take it into a store or call tech support for a replacement. if ur past a year, use ur insurance or upgrade options. charging ports really cant be fixed. but if u take it into a store with a tech, they may try to fix it, but dont get ur hopes up

How do i take it apart.

using your fingernail, there are multiple plastic clips that should pop off as you run your finger around the edge, let me know if you still can't get it, you may also try a small flat headed screwdriver to pry it apart.

Cordless phone keypad problem

I too have similiar problem with Uniden phone. In my case it is only the center toggle. I indeed took the phone apart and this problem relates to the metal oxide wearing off the rubber keys that make contact with the exposed circuit lines. This same problem is common with TV remotes. Sometimes you can take apart device and find that cleaning the circuit with rubber eraser can help the problem. You can clean the rubber contacts, but be delicate as you do not want to remove the coating on the key. As far as taking phone apart? Well it helps to be a tech with experience. Usually there is at least one screw or two to remove in the battery area. Then you gently pry the phone apart. Sometimes devices like this slide apart after the screws are removed. If you pry start at position nearest where screws join parts together and work your way up. You may dent the plastic a bit in process. Once you have two halves apart be careful in next steps. There will be numerous screws holding the phone to face. Also be careful of wires to speaker. They are usually hardwired. No plug. As you take apart take careful note of how wires are routed. Also be careful of charge contacts that slide into base of phone.

I could fix my phone if I could get the part, but I suspect Uniden will not sell me the part and ask me to send phone in.

Cell phone disassembly

The screw is hidden underneath the plastic so you'd have to break the plastic to take apart the flipper. Not sure how you would put it back together though.
