Program conflict or you might have a worm in the system. unistall ss. try disconnecting from internet, open in safe mode. install spysweep, and run. You might need to go to webroot.com to download a safemode installer, no big deal. just put it on the desktop with the program, i had similar problem, was a worm that was stopping the program from opening. .good luck

Webroot spysweeper with antivirus won't open anymore

My advice: uninstall it, and install the _free_ anti-virus software from Microsoft: http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials
which does _NOT_ require any "key".

Webroot will not load after start up

hi there, the program may be experiencing some problems with the startup. If it is still doing this, try going under run, type in services.msc and look for webroot antivirus, hit restart and see what happens. If it still doesn't load, try reinstalling the software and see what happens.

Webroot problems

I just went through this this afternoon, I spent 8 hours removing and updating and loading McAfee and running it too.

Webroot is a bad program, it is hard to remove and some of the componets just cannot be removed unless you do a search for the file and then delete it....if you need a certain dll then the anti-virus should detect that and remove or quarantine it.

I would suggest that you remove Webroot, and install another anti-virus program...I swear by McAfee, it removed over 30 problems or quarantined them, it works and is well worth the money spent....If you have Comcast, it is FREE to download on all of your computers in your home....just part of the internet service.

PS...Uniblue registry booster is no good, and another one that is hard to remove...it has spyware too.
