Question about HP LaserJet 2100 Printer
What probably happened is that when you removed the paper jam, some piece of the printer became unaligned. This piece is blocking the path to put the toner cart back in. In most HPs there levers inside the printer that are green, and that indicates that they are paper jam problem areas. You can move the green lever to open up a place where you may see paper stuck. Make sure all these green lever items are in the correct position.
Sometimes the toner carts are just a little tricky to put in. So if you haven't done it before, just ensure you are doing it correctly. I've also had people try to put it in upside down. I doubt that either of these are your problem, though.
Whatever you do, don't try to force the cartridge back in.
