Is there a way to get the disc out without dismantling the entire TV? Disc is stuck, lock icon shows when eject button is pressed. Can TV be reset to factory specs?
I paid for Toshiba's telephone tech support, and spent 3 hours with tech with no success. This is a Toshiba TV/DVD 19LV61K, no longer manufactured. This happened once before and I physically removed the disc with a pair of forceps. I know there is a code to unlock the DVD, someone provided it 2 years ago, but I misplaced it. Does anyone remember the code? The disc won't come out when the eject button is pushed, instead the eject arrow + padlock icons shows up on the screen. I can dismantle the DVD portion of the TV to retrieve the disc, but hate to go through that procedure. There is no pinhole to insert a tiny sharp object as the Toshiba rep suggested, nor did pressing various on/off/eject buttons simultaneously work, nor unplugging the unit and re-plugging work as suggested for other models on this site. I'm willing to reset the TV to factory specs and set up the TV from scratch if there's a way to do that. Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks!
Try the following. kindly update result here in comments
Depending on the model number of your DVD player, simultaneously press the POWER + STOP + EJECT buttons.
If the disc tray still does not open, simultaneously press the DISC1 + STOP + EJECT buttons. NOTE: This step may not apply to all models as DISC1 is not available on all DVD players.
If this does not work and if the DVD player has DISPLAY and PREV buttons, press and hold the DISPLAY+PREV buttons for two seconds to unlock the drawer.

These were the steps Toshiba tech had me go through, and this didn't work. Thanks for your response, however. These were the steps Toshiba tech had me go through, and this didn't work. Thanks for your response, however.
This did not work, since the "guts" of the machine were not similar. I could see the disc, there is a white plastic "arm" that does move, but I couldn't access the disc. I'm going to ask another question and reword it. I would really like the numeric code to unlock the device. Thanks for your help. This did not work, since the "guts" of the machine were not similar. There is no such code to get out the strucked disc. you have to take out it by manual method. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ If you insist on a numerical code, and have determined, won't do anything without it, try this alpha numerical code {VWXTB 028103820489} Followed by Menu button.
Good luck.
Press the eject button on the top right-hand of the keyboard. Be patient if the disc does not pop out immediately. Try pressing the button a few times or waiting a few seconds and then press the button again. If it doesn't eject, tilt the computer with the disc drive facing down and shake it gently as you press eject.[1]
2 Drag the disc icon into the trash. If the eject button isn't working, locate the disc icon on your computer's Desktop and drag it to the trash can. The trash can is located on the far right end of the Application Dock on the bottom of the computer screen.
3 Press and hold "Command" while simultaneously pressing "E."
4 Find the disc in the Finder. Open the Finder, located on the bottom left of the applications dock. Look on the left-hand side of the pop-up window under "Devices" for the name of the disc in your drive. Locate the eject button directly to the right of the disc name and click on it.
5 Eject the disc through an application if it is not in the Finder. In iTunes or DVD Player, click on the "Controls" drop-down menu located on the top toolbar and click "Eject Disc." You can also open iTunes and click on "Playlists" so that the left side bar pops up. Look for the CD icon with the appropriate name. Click the eject button directly to the left of the CD name.
Try pressing the reset button. This sometimes helps eject the disc. If not i have found that by holding a second disc slightly above the stuck cd and very gently pressing down on the stuck cd, it can help eject the stuck disc. DO NOT INSERT A SECOND DISC. there is also a possibilty that the ejecting mechanisim is broken in that case taking in to the repair man would be the wise choice.

Plug the power cord back into the electrical outlet and turn the player ON. Attempt to open the disc tray. Depending on the model number of your DVD player, simultaneously press the POWER + STOP + EJECT buttons. If the disc tray still does not open, simultaneously press the DISC1 + STOP + EJECT buttons.6 Jan 2013
First try the normal methods to remove the disc. Drag its icon to the Trash can in the Dock or select 'Eject' from the File menu.
If you are running a virtual machine, e.g. VMFusion, ensure that the CD is disconnected from the virtual machine. This will sometimes allow the CD to now show up in Mac OS X.
Shut down the computer and start up whilst holding down the mouse button. This may take some time, but keep your finger on the mouse button right up until the disc comes out or the log-in screen has appeared.
If you have Toast Titanium installed on your computer, choose EJECT DISC from the menubar.
Sometimes you can successfully use the eject disc button in iTunes even if the disc is not visible to the Finder
Open Disk Utility and choose the disc you wish to eject in the left-hand pane, then click on the Eject button.
Some Macintoshes have a paperclip hole that you can insert a straightened paperclip into, manually triggering the eject mechanism.
Open Terminal and type "drutil tray eject" to eject the disc/tray, and "drutil tray close" to close the tray.
Restart the computer while holding down Command-Option-O-F, to enter the Open Firmware prompt. Type "eject cd" without the quotes, and press return. The disk ought to eject. To start into OS X, type "mac-boot" without the quotes. Press return, and the computer will continue with the startup. (This will not work on an Intel Mac. There is no Open Firmware on Intel Macs. )
If your computer has an eject button on the keyboard, restart the computer holding down the Option key. When the startup disk selection screen appears, let go of the option key and press the keyboard's eject button.

A CD or DVD disc can become stuck in your Macintosh. It may not be appearing on your desktop or could be causing the computer to lock up if the computer cannot recognize it properly.

Hmmmm, try reseting the wii or synching it. The sync button is under a removeable piece of plastic on the console??? it will show you in the manual.
Srry, im no an expert if that doesnt work.
I have an DZ-MV780 with the same problem. I found that the cover plate around the flash hot shoe only has a single screw. If you remove it and pull up the cover you gain access to the gear and lock mechanism. Hit eject and if necessary press on the white gears you see in front of the zoom switch. It should then cause the door mechanism to unlock and open.
