You probably fried the entire thing. Using the wrong power cord is a big no no as the voltage and amplitude must match or you could easily overload or slug down the product. Sorry but the best advice is learn from the mistake and use the thing for parts as that would void manufacturers warranty.

Ipod charge cord will fit in Sansa but it will fry your unit or if your "lucky" just not work with it.
Sounds like yours bit the dust.

Wont charge

Try a car charger. If the car charger works, then it is either
A) Your power outlet
B) Your wall charger Power Supply unit
C) The phone connector on your wall charger.

If it doesn't work on the car charger, then it is most likely your phone charging system or the connection for charging on your phone. Either way, you will most likely need a new phone. Sorry.

Wont turn on

I don't know if this applies to the Sansa for sure or not but many MP3 devices and smartphones if completely dischard will not charge back up via usb to computer, you have to use a wall jack charger. This is true for the Motorola Q and other smart phones I know for a fact, also the Apple Ipod Gen 5 has had some issues with charging after complete discharge of the battery. Try a wall charger if possible. I don't know much about the sansas.

Prombles Recharging Battery

Try upgrading the firmware of the player. If it still discharges quickly it may be the battery contact POP and have the battery replaced.

Sansa MP3 player charges, plays while plugged into wall, but not unplugged.

When you plug it into the wall make sure you turn it off and let it charge all the way before you start using it again. see if that helps
