Take a paper-clip, straighten it, and insert it in a small hole in the "back" of the router. This will reset the router to "FACTORY" settings. Then, reboot your computer. If you cannot get an IP-address, then it is time to buy a different router -- cheaper than trying to get a qualified technician to "trouble-shoot" your router.
