laptop presario mod. 1275. win 2k installed was working ok until error message. Boots up with error message and only options are F10 and F1. Will not allow me to reinstall win 2k. Created the 4 boot floppies and it accepts them and starts setup. At the end of disk 4 it states setuup is starting windows but nothing happens. Cannot reset the clock in bios. It reverts back to 1998 every time. Took the computer apart and removed the keyboard to locate cmos battery and nothing there. I saw a cylinder shaped object that appears to be wired to the motherboard but no round cmos battery. Did this computer have a cmos battery? Any help appreciatted. Please contact by email.
