Question about Google Chrome

Browser keeps loading icon and rarely opens page

When I go to a page the loading icon stays and only part if any of the page opens. I have cleared cache cookies ran disk cleanup and defragmented my computer. I have disconnected the internet and shut down computer and restarted everything. I am lost I can't figure out what to do shor of uninstalling and reinstalling. I may try this next. I just hate to loose all my bookmarks.

I KNOW THIS IS QUITE A LATE REPLY AND YOU MIGHT NOT EVEN WANT IT AT THIS POINT BUT, I THOUGH WHAT IF YOU STILL DID NEED IT, SO I JUST WENT AHEAD! NO HARM DONE IS THERE?! :)
And also, I'm judging by the picture that you are using Google Chrome. Chrome is in my opinion VERY fast and reliable even compared to Firefox. I don't see how this could be a Chrome problem, maybe its some sort of compatibility problem. You remember installing any software recently, or to be more specific, any dodgy ones or any web-related software. If that is the case then uninstall the software and restart Windows to see if the problem is solved. Also you should see to it that Chrome is updated to its latest version. to do that - 1. Click on the button on Chrome with the icon of a spanner, it should say Customize and Control Google Chrome. 2. Then click on 'About Google Chrome'. 3. It should show whether the version is out-of -date or up-to-date there!
Also, since u said that you are afraid of losing your dear bookmarks, here's the link from Google Chrome Help itself telling how to 'Import and Export Bookmarks across ANY browser!.

How do I get yarhoo off


Check to make sure you have no search toolbars installed, including the one from Yahoo. These bars install their home page on your browser and can alter your default search engine as well.



Navigate to Gmail in your browser at gmail.com. Sign in to your account and save your password in the browser. If you want to see Gmail as your home page each time you start your browser, go to the next step. otherwise, visit the page that you want to use, and then go to the next step.



In your browser\'s screen that may be called Options, Preferences or Internet Options, the General tab will let you set your home page. If you want to open to the page or pages you now have open when the browser starts, simply select to use the current page(s).



"OK" your way out of the Options page and you\'re done. Restart your browser to see the new settings at work for you. It will open your Gmail or other selected page each time it opens.

How do i clear my cache browers


This is from Chrome Help (there are more options, click the Spanner Icon, then Help) Clear your entire browsing history
  1. Click the spanner icon chrome_toolsmenu.gif on the browser toolbar.
  2. Select Tools.
  3. Select Clear browsing data.
  4. In the dialogue that appears, select the "Clear browsing history" checkbox.
  5. Use the menu at the top to select the amount of data that you want to delete. Select beginning of timeto clear your entire browsing history.
  6. Click Clear browsing data.

The following information is removed when you clear your browsing history:

  • Web addresses that you've visited, listed on the History page
  • Cached text of pages that you've visited
  • Snapshots of your most frequently visited pages on the New Tab page
  • Any IP addresses prefetched from pages that you've visited

My facebook page is not loading only on this browser and works fine on everything else such as internet explorer. chrome opens the facebook page and all i see is the toolbar and everything else is blank...


Try deleting your browser cache.
In Google Chrome

My yahoomail wont open


Most of the time, the internet browser is the problem when a page won't load up. If you're accessing your Yahoo! Mail everyday, there will come a time that your browser will be filled out with cookies and cache.

However, you must try to isolate first, to make sure that the problem is the browser and not the Yahoo! Mail sign in page. Here are the things that you may try:

1. Try to use different internet browser and access your Yahoo! Mail. If the sign in page loads up, then it's the browser.

2. Try to access the Yahoo! Mail in a different computer that is connected to a different network.

If the problem is only happening in one browser, then it's the browser. You may try to clear the cookies and cache. Here's how:

* For Internet Explorer
- Open your IE > Tools > Internet Options
- Click the "Delete" button under the browsing history.
- Select cookies, internet files, etc.
- Select "Delete All".
- Close and re-open your IE.
- Try to access your Yahoo! Mail.

* For Mozilla Firefox
- Open Firefox > Tools > Clear Recent History.
- Select cookies, cache, browsing and download, etc.
- Click on "Clear Now"
- Close and re-open your Firefox
- Try to access your Yahoo! Mail.

with google chrome open press Shift + Ctrl + Delete key at the same time when new window opens go to the Clear data from this period and select last 4 weeks make sure that all is checked off except for passwords this should clear up your issue

I go to my yahoo page and sign in. then to yahoomail but the mail never comes up


IF YOUR YAHOO MAIL IS TAKING AGES TO LOAD
HOW DO I CLEAR MY BROWSER'S CACHE
1. Close all browser windows and open a new one.

Ooops. Yahoo! Mail can't load


This is most likely a minor browser malfunction. The simplest fix is to "clear your temporary files" on that browser. A test is to open a completely difference browser (say you normally use Opera, then open Internet Explorer and see if it works there). If it does, then the problem is in your browser.

Anyway, to clear the temporary files that are involved in a malfunctioning website, you need to go to another website that is "ok" and then follow the instructions in your browsers help file for clearing its temporary files.

Browser doesnt load page


Just like a computer browser, whenever you browse the internet, the G1 will download images, text, passwords, etc from all sites accessed. it places this info in a place called a 'Cache'....it can get so full it will prevent pages from loading. to fix this, clear your cache. there are 2 ways to do this.....

1: MENU > SETTINGS > APPLICATIONS > MANAGE APPLICATIONS > BROWSER > CLEAR DATA

2: BROWSER > MENU > MORE > SETTINGS > SELECT CLEAR CACHE, CLEAR HISTORY, CLEAR ALL COOKIE DATA, CLEAR PASSWORDS

after doing that, turn off and on the handheld and try it again. if you keep up on doing this everytime youre done browsing the web, it wont happen again.
