Hi Mark,

Based on your description of the problem, you'll have to buy an external TV Tuner box for connecting FreeView box to your monitor. Connect the FreeView box to the monitor through the External TV tuner box in the following order:

Connect the RF OUT from the Free View box to RF IN on the external TV Tuner box. Then connect the VGA OUT of the external TV Tuner box to the VGA IN of the monitor.

You can purchase the External TV Tuner box at a Computer Hardware shop.

Also, please provide us with the model number of the Free View box so that we can guide you accordingly.

Hope this solves your problem. Thanks.

    Hi Mark,

You can also buy the SCART to RGB converters / adaptors to connect FreeView to your monitor like these shown in the attached pictures.

This will be the easiest and cheapest option to connect your monitor and free view box.

    Thanks.

Well you will want either the RGB Scart to 15 Pin HD VGA if your
monitor has a 15 pin INPUT plug on the back of it (you may have to
remove your current monitor cable). Do you have any idea what kind of input its going in to?

Your 42" Sanyo pdp42wvi should has multiple RCA jack inputs for device like DVD,VCR or external tuner.

You will need

1X digital TV tuner box
1X triple ends RCA card
1X good TV coaxial antenna to pull in all the channels

Find an un-used RCA connector set (Example: VIDEO-2)

Connect the other end to digital tuner buy and follow the box tuning instruction.

You will get a lot of channels if you have a GOOD antenna.

Good luck

    It's RCA cord.

Check the front and side for

set of 3 RCA female jacks

    or

set of 5 RCA female jacks

Hi there, If you freeview tv output is composite type (3wires, red white yellow) you need a composite to RGB adapter sinch your monitor input is RGB. If you freeview have scart, you can get a scart to RGB adapter. Just type what you want in google. there are plenty of suppliers for those converter. Take note: audio line is separate. You can directly plug the composite audio out of you freeview tv to your monitor audi in.

I hope this helps.

cheers!

    Hi there,

To help you more, I need to get additional info from you.

    1. What freeview tv box are you using. Does it have SCART, component, composite or svideo out?

    2. Can you please comfirm the video in connector of your monitor, does it have rdc 15pin pc in,

svideo, etc.. You have mentioned you have connected using svideo and you've got black and

white, can you please clarify how did you connect that?

Finally, I think what you need is the one like in below link

    http://www.lektropacks.com/view_product_...

You need some coonectors to use it depending on the slots available from your freeview tv.

    kind regards.

    Hi there,

RCA card usually used in PC to have connections for compotite or RGB format. I think this would not be a solution to you problem.

Is your RGB monitor, a 3 wire cable or 15pin PC in?

if 15pin PC in, you will be needing this to watch from you freeview TV

    http://www.lektropacks.com/view_product_...

    or

    http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?Modu...

You can search to google with cheaper similar products.

    Kind regards.

get your tv model number and the cables which you got at present .at a nearest tv/moniter store.as they will check out the wires which you got and provide you the exact type of wire model and number which you should actually buy.so it will not make any confusion.about which card or cables/wires are to be ordered/bought.

    thanks.

Plug your new Freeview set-top box to your existing TV aerial antenna. Connect another lead to your TV set's SCART socket, and you should be ready to go with this tv. A SCART connector is something you'll find on more modern TV, video, DVD and games units - They have 21 pins, and carry audio, video, switching commands and an earth. You can get these cables at a Radio Shack or any electronic or tv store.

I'm sorry but the number you gave me is a screen model number not a tv model number which is why I assumed it would have a scart connector on it. If you can get me a tv model number that I can look up what you need, otherwise an electronics store can get you the box to convert from SCART to whichever connection you have available

Some TV's have different settings for outputs at scart sockets. Read the manual on the TV to see if it mentions what the scart(s) sockets output.
However I think you might find it better to connect your VCR to a seperate Freeview box, that way you can watch a different channel to the one you are recording. Box's are cheap at the moment you can get one for around £10 on E-Buyer.Com.

Picture goes black

are you using the built in tuner or a set-top-box? Or watching DVDs when this happens? Are they connected through SCART?
First check the cables which lead the signal -antenna/satellite/cable if they are not broken or with damaged connectors.
Scart cables sometimes tend to have too heavy and stiff leads for the weak SCART plugs. This is NOT an issue with HDMi sVHS or any other.
If it's none of these the problem is probably a power lead of the screen and if you don't feel like opening the back of the box, it would be just fine to take it over to a repair shop or to the centre where you bought it if you still have a warranty.
if not find a Sanyo service near your location(refer to http://sanyo.com/ ) or take it to any home electronics repair shop.

How do I play my Sanyo VPC-CG6GX recording on a TV & make copies

I was just looking in the Sanyo CG6 Users Manual for you about how to watch your videos on your TV.

I noticed on page 136 there is a TV Systems Setting, to choose between NTSC (american TV) and PAL (Asian or European TV). Perhaps it is set to PAL while you are in North America, or vice versa?

Otherwise, you seem to be on the right track; when the miniplug is in the camera and the yellow, white & red leads go to the TV, the camera should by using your tv instead of its little screen.

Yes the box marked sanyo is the focus and screen control box. All stk Convergence ICs for rear projection TVs are made by Sanyo, which was the origional producer of the STK series Convergence IC. You need the convergence repair kit for the DPTV series rear projection which consist of two STK392-120 ICs and 11 6.8 ohm 1watt metal film resistors. You can get the repair kit for your model at the following link , they do ship to Austrailia however they do have an international shipping charge which must be purchased for orders outside the north American continent,. They also probide free installations instructions with pictures and free tech support. Heres the link.
