For year - Google "Giant serial number" or perhaps check the Giant website. I find the Bicycle Blue Book site to be next to useless.

Nobody can tell you the value of your bike without knowing mechanical and appearance condition, and even then it depends on the market you are in, time of year, and how fast you wish to sell it. For more info see my tip:

Perhaps you can join a forum in link #1 and ask the same question...there's eBay...and Giant Bicycle USA, perhaps they can help you locate a dealer local to your area.

Hi Martin, I would suggest you ask them to check your headset as well, that could also cause the noise.

But if it is the stem, get some carbon paste from a shop and loosen your stem yourself, apply the paste thinly to all surfaces that makes contact and tighten it again.


That should keep it quiet, but something else to keep in mind, don't ever use high pressure cleaning equipment on your bike!

The manual that comes with the bike is a general one, I sell 5000+ bikes a year and can tell you that what you are asking for is not available. Giant, Trek, Cannondale, and the highter price bikes are only sold through bike shops, assembled professionally. You cannot buy them in a box, so your bike is already adjusted for you. You can go to any bike shop and they will verify what I am telling you. Now, what is the problem that you need the manual to answer?
