Attaching air conditioner to Coleman 7900 series furnace

I also am wondering the same thing. It says if you add a coil you can have cool air (or something like that). One day I was standing near a vent and cool air was coming out much to my surprise.

It only happened once, and got me snooping around and reading stickers on the thing.

It would be great if it could be an air conditioner too. I just can't figure out how to do that. HELP

SOURCE: Furnace not cycling properly.

you might want to check the filter, if the filter is restricting the airflow the furnace will over heat and it will shut down. if you turn it off and on it will reset it and it will try again. Pull the filter out half way and try that, if it runs fine then clean the filter or get a less restrictive one.

SOURCE: my coleman 7900 furnace blower cycles on and off

I would look at fan limit switch. They are normally located in electrical cotrol compartment. If your are lucky you will have one thats adjustable. It would helpful if I knew is your home a mobile or modular home as they usually use a button type limit on fan and hi limit. It sounds to me like you may be having problems with fan limit which controls temp. that fan comes on . Often what happens is that switch scenses temp to turn on and then draws cold enough air on return air to shut back down until temp.rises again. If this occurs when unit first comes on or continues after burner shuts off you can get a limit switch with a higher temperature rating or one that has adjustable temperature range. Hope this helps you.Thanks.

Furnace reaches temperature set then shuts down and restarts 8 times before final shutdown.

When you say the the furnace re-starts 8 times before shut down, what is cycling 8 times? just the indoor blower or is the main burner re-firing 8 times? If it's only the fan it sounds like the fan control.

Coleman 7900 Series Furnace. Fan comes on first then blower comes on. This is backwards.

combustion fan comes on first the blower comes on when it gets to temp so it can blow hot air ?

Do I need a outside cooling unit for a Coleman 7900 Presidential lll gas heat and cooling unit

Yeah, youd have to look at the model on the Indoor coil box, furnace will be setting on top of it. Youll need the model off that coil box to get the correct tonnage of the outdoor condensing unit, you can go 1/2 ton smaller on outdoor for greater efficiency.

Pilot light is out of our coleman 7900 mobile home furnace and we can't get it re-ignited

The thermo couple or the gas valve itself is most likely bad. Cheap enough to start with the thermo couple.
