Question about Computers & Internet
Model is: Samsung NP-R60+ / NP-R60Plus / NP-R60Y
I have a failed fan on a R60 and am struggling opening the base fully to get into the fan
I've managed to open it all the way exc right hinge and not got a close enough look to disconnect rear centre 2 core cable for display.
Am i missing something? I've got all the screws out for sure (inc both hinge), and have attempted to pass over retaining clips but still no joy.
Also, once i've got it open, anyone know a good (uk pref) place for getting a replacement from???
Please don't confuse this post with ANYTHING to do with a thinkpad. They are completely different!!!
Thanks in advance
Screw mapping differs depending on the model, there will be a few hidden screws around the hinges these are usually located underneath the keyboard bezel (this plastic strip that goes across the top of the keyboard), behind the hinges and under the laptop, once you have got all the screws the lid will come away from the base and then you will be able to start to split the base so you can get to the fan, the fan will come out easily.
I live in the UK and i get the majority of my spare parts from ebay, i don't really trust repair shops as these parts are second hand mostly.
