I have HP LaserJet Enterprise 700 color MFP M775dn ptinter and i forgot the username and password to access the setting through the web, any way to reset it please ?

You will need to perform a partial clean. Turn off the printer. Turn it on and watch to boot up on screen closely. When the black line appears under the HP logo, touch the HP logo. Display will go to a black and blue display. Use the arrows on screen to scroll down to administration, select partial clean and press ok, and then press back arrow until continue appears on screen. Press ok and unit will restart. You will lose most of your settings this way but you have no other choice.

55.00.00 error message display on the control panel

Error 55 is a major Engine or DC controller issue.
HP LaserJet Enterprise Printers 55 00 0x and 55 0x 06 Errors

Try spares from salvaged printers. Look for "working pull from damaged unit". Of course reconfirm model and spare compatibility.

Hp p4014n, erro 55,00,00 controlador, cc

55.XX.YY DC CONTROLLER ERROR

A temporary printing error occurred.
1. Turn the product off and then on.
2. Remove any third-party memory or USB
device, and then turn the product off and
then on.
3. Remove and then reinstall the formatter. (the formatter is the logic board)
4. If the error persists, remove the
formatter and perform an engine test***. If the engine test page fails to print, replace the DC controller. If the engine test page prints, replace the formatter.

***engine test
To verify that the product engine (all product components except the formatter, formatter DIMMs,
EIO products, and the stacker or stapler/stacker) is functioning, print an engine-test page. Use a small, non-metallic, pointed object to depress the test-page switch, which is accessible through a slot in the right-side cover.
The test page should have a series of horizontal lines.
A damaged formatter might interfere with the engine test. If the engine-test page does not print,
try removing the formatter and performing the engine test again. If the engine test is then successful, the problem is almost certainly with the formatter, the control panel, or the cable that connects them.

My HP 2420 had a paper jam. I played around with it and must have cleared the path although I did not see any paper particles fall out. (I did have a jam and figured a small piece must have been left...

Check the following steps for fixing Hp Carriage Jam Error :

Open the print carriage access door. Check for any packing material that may be blocking the internal components. Check for an orange shipping lock that may still be in place on the left side. Pull the shipping lock out, if present, and discard.

Remove and reinstall the cartridges to make sure they are properly installed. Lift the front center of the print carriage access door to open it. Lift the door up until it locks into an open position. Press down on a print cartridge and allow it to spring back up. Lift the cartridge out of the printer. Do the same for the other cartridge. Slide the black cartridge into the slot on the left and the color cartridge into the slot on the right. Press down on each one to lock it into place. Lower the print carriage access door.

Check the print cartridges to make sure the protective tape has been removed from the ink nozzles. Remove the cartridges from the printer. Remove any tape or labels. Replace the cartridges into the printer.

Push in on the tab on the left side of the clean-out door on the back of the printer to open the door. Lift the door out of the printer. Check for any paper jams. Jammed paper can block the printer cartridge carriage from moving. Pull any jammed paper out.

No display and no light indicators when powered on

If the printer control panel is blank when you turn on the printer, check the following items.
1. Make sure that the printer is plugged into an active electrical outlet that delivers the correct
voltage.
2. Make sure that the on/off switch is in the on position.
3. Make sure that the fan runs briefly, which indicates that the power supply is operational.
4. Make sure that the control panel display wire-harness is connected.
The control-panel wire-harness connector can easily be disconnected when you install the top
cover. If the control panel does not work after the top cover is installed, verify that the wire-harness
connector is fully seated into its DC controller PCA connector.
5. Make sure that the firmware DIMM and the formatter are seated and operating properly.
6. Remove any HP Jetdirect or other EIO cards, and then try to turn the printer on again.
If the printer control-panel display is blank, but the main cooling fan runs briefly after the printer
power is turned on, try printing an engine test page to determine whether the problem is with the
control-panel display, formatter, or other printer components.
Engine test page
To verify that the printer engine (all printer components except the formatter, formatter DIMMs,
EIO products, and the stacker or stapler/stacker) is functioning, print an engine test page. Use a
small, non-metallic, pointed object to depress the test-page switch, which is located on the right
side of the printer
The test page should have a series of vertical lines. The test page will print from the last tray you
printed from. However, if the printer has been turned off and then back on since the most recent
print job, the page will print from tray 2. The printer will continuously print test pages as long as
the test-page switch is depressed. The printer will not print a test page if it is in PowerSave
mode.
A damaged formatter might interfere with the engine test. If the engine test page does not print,
try removing the formatter and performing the engine test again. If the engine test is then
successful, the problem is almost certainly with the control panel, or the cable that
connects it.
Hope this helps

NO RESPONSE, PRINTER DISPLAY BLANK

sounds like you have a bad formatter....there is a way to circumvent the formatter and print whats called an engine test. this is used just to test the mechanics of the machine and leave the brain out of the equation...

Engine Test Button Location HP laserjet printer 5000 series

The engine test verifies that the print engine is functioning correctly.
The Formatter PCA is completely bypassed during an engine test.
This test is very useful for isolating printer problems. The engine test
prints a full page of lines across the entire printable area, and is also
useful for checking and adjusting registration.
hp-laserjet5000gn.jpg

laserjet-5000-engine-test.jpg Note Engine test will print from the last input tray used.
If the last input tray is empty or if the last input source was the duplexer,
then the Engine Test will print from Tray 2 (standard 250 CST).
If Tray 2 is empty (and the last input tray is empty or the last input source
was the duplexer), then the Engine Test will not function.

Printing an Engine Test HP laserjet printers 5000 series
To print an engine test, use a non-metallic object (such as a pencil) to
press the engine test button. A single test page with horizontal lines
will be printed. To print multiple test pages, hold down the engine test
button.

If the engine test prints ok then you have a formatter issue...if you have added memory or a network card try taking them out one at a time to see if the problem goes away. Otherwise the formatter will have to be replaced.
