Re: Programes running in background
Hi, Press Ctrl, Alt and Del and click on the processes tab, this will show you what processes are running in your computer at the time. If you want to stop certain processes from starting up with the computer then in the run box type msconfig, this will bring up the system configuration utility, click on the startup tab and you will see what starts up with the computer, in that tab you can disable or enable processes. Be careful what you are doing as you can mess certain settings up if disable the wrong process.

depending on your type of system, you should consider the amount of start up programes that are running when you boot up to the desk top, You may need to defragment your drives, and perhaps even remove some heavy or large programes. what you need is a clean up utility....Try iobit,ASC,free,or you can get the full version, either way you will see an improvment.
1. remove the unwanted programes installed on the computer by going to control panel / program and features and click on the programes which you do not use
2. Clear the temporary files by following these steps i.e. go to start / Run / %temp%
(if you are downloading to an external harddrive) i have had the same problem. the message basically means the system does not recognize the external drive and you are going to have to partition the drive into FAT32 format because that is the only format the ps3 will recognize.(some computers do not run off FAT32 so you may need to use a program called "swissknife"[it can be found on google]). once you have the partitioning complete you may plug the drive back into the ps3 and the system can now recognize it and you may proceed in downloading your content.
i hope i have helped, please feel free to let me know how it works out, thanks
do this and it will do faster, basicaly it disables programes that run in the background and only leave you to work with the important stuff like internet ect..ready?
1. click on start "right bottom side of the screen" 2. click on RUN 3. type msconfig "without the word type and the number 3" 4. now you'll get a window called system configuration 5. go to the page called start ups 6. click on disable all, and click ok after and restart pc.
start pc wait a little press and hold ctrl+alt and hit del(delete botton)-at the task manager click file and pick new task ..type control panel ! this is just to load your icons (programes)...try to double click on an icon and see if it responds ..and take it from there to do what you need like uninstalling conflict programes and to check if you have spyware addware viruses !!if you get this message:intenal state of programes are corrupted !!...i do suggest that you try to start pc in safe mode first and see waht happens !!you could try msconfig at first by using task manager or doing it by clicking on run at the start menue and typing msconfig to trouble shoot this problem !!click on start up and stop programes from loading when you start your pc!!this might take sometime if you don't get lucky !!peace
