The Fridge does not operate at all, the Breaker was checked OK, power at the receptacle is correct aswell. when the fridge is provided with power, the door light will illuminate momentarally (10 Seconds) then turn off untill power is removed and restored again.

the control panel is at the bottom the fridge and there is only one switch I can see at the bottom (for the door).

    The control panel is inoperable.

If the refrigerator is working fine, you may have a bad door-switch. Open the refrigerator door, you will see two switches on top, the one on the left is for the lights; try to tweak it may just be stuck. If this does not work you have to replace it. You can double-check this by shining a flashlight behind the control panel and you can see the temp. and the other info. This means the panel is fine. You can also try to contact Sub Zero customer service, they may send you a new switch for free as this is a somewhat common problem. Let me know how this turns out.

If the control panel is getting power, then it is most likely the problem with all of the symptoms that you suggest. You can get a new one from Repair Clinic, If replacing it doesn't work, then you can return it within 30 days. Click on the following link for finding your control board or call 1-800-269-2609

My sub zero 600 series has no light in fridge nor on control panel

There will be two switches per compartment, one is the fan switch, the other is for the lights... Remove the top compartment vent panel, the switches will be accessed from above... remove the wires and push them down into the fridge... you can test them by setting a meter to "continuity" test and pressing the paddle of the switch to see if it lets current through.

SUb-Zero 650 fridge lighting issue

Just a bad door switch. Turn the unit off, remove the upper grill, then remove the cover over the switches. there are 2. 1 with a black backside, and one that is all white. you want to replace the all white one with a new all white one. it just has 2 wires, doesn't matter what order they go in. pull em off and pop that thing out, then snap the new one into place. all of this should be done with the power off and the door open. Good Luck!

Sub Zero 650/s control board light is out and inside lights out but fridge works.

Hi,

On this model, the lights work with the light switch, if it stick all the light in that section will not work. Parts number 7014646 (about 20 bucks) If only the control display is not illuminated then the bulb behind the control is the only problem.

I hope this helps.

Pro48 sub zero clicking

This usually indicates that the control module is bad. Trace the clicking to it's source either on the back of the fridge or inside the fridge near the controls.

My sub zero refridgerator (freezer on bottom fridge on top) is cold on the bottom of fridge and warm on the top of the fridge. Any idea what is causing this. Items are also damp in fridge. We just vacumed...

the evaporator coil inside the freezer compartment is iced over and can't transfer cold air in thes condition, remove panel inside freezer on back side of freezer compartment and thaw it out with a hair dryer, then check the defrost heating element for continuity,if its open replace it,if its good, ,check the defrost control that powers the defrost heater

Light on refirgerator side doesn't come on unless I tap switch.

I had to take my switch apart and clean and lube it and it worked fine. Or just replace the switch. It may have gotten some sticky ketchup in it like mine did.

Subzero 590: freezer works, refrigerator not cooling

This is a Sub Zero and many technicians do not realize that these units most all run on 2 separate systems. 2 cold controls 2 compressors 2 evaporators. They share a condenser and condenser fan motor. What you are describing is most likely a bad cold control. It is pretty common for these to get some age and go bad. If you are very savvy with repairs yourself then if you access the compressor area and feel that the compressor on the right is cool and the compressor on the left is warm then you know that the ref. compressor has not been running. UNPLUG THE UNIT OR CUT THE BREAKER OFF. Remove the shelving from the fresh food section and the cover to the lights and the panel below the lights and lean the back panel forward to access the cold control. You will see 3 wires to the cold control. The green wire is the ground wire of corse. Unplug the other 2 wires remembering their location on the control unit. Take a jumper wire and jump these 2 wires. If when you power the unit up the right side compressor comes on then you know that your fresh food cold control is bad. Replace fresh food cold control.

Sub Zero Model 680 - Light in Fridge and Control Panel out

Try wiggling light switch side to side kinda hard, (the light switch is the one on the left) it should come on, showing you its a bad lt. switch.if that fails install 1 new 40watt,(long) appliance bulb. but it is going to be the switch or the bulb considering there wasn't any wiring work done on unit. part# for the light switch is 3060140 make sure the back of the switch is white not black (black is a fan switch) Good Luck !!!
