I think you need to replace the front door interlock switch ( very common part ), and then take some time and adjust the bracket for a really good positve closure on the switch....leave the display panel off during this adjustment so you can get a good look at the switch closure. There is no factory adjustment on the bracket- you might have to bend part of the bracket to get a good closure. Open and close the front door a couple of times just to be sure and there you go. This front door interlock switch is a common failure on the 7033, 7040, and 7045's and will give you all kinds of crazy symptoms.

Replace idler pully on 92 Nissan. Pathfinder 4~4


Looks like there is an idler pulley for the ac belt. The alternator and ps belts are adjusted by moving the components.
The pulley is available without the bracket, so you should be able to loosen the center bolt without removing the bracket. There is an adjusting bolt or rod that you turn to tighten or loosen the belt once you have loosened the bolts for the bracket.

The headlights are angled very low to the ground. The low beams hardly do it any justice so I usually ride around with the high beams on at all times, and even then, they only project about 10 feet from...


most of adjuster remove out from the bracket in side due to more moving , so you need to re- fix inside the bracket - it;s easy look inside the head light you find the adjuster bolt with ball head is remove ,loose the adjuster first then press the bracket in the re- adjusted carefully not tight too much.good luck

What is the way to get even top and bottom thread tension. the machine is a Husqvarna 2000 6440


Let me give you a quick lesson in adjusting your tension. First, thread your bobbin and your upper thread with two different colors-it'll make it easier to see exactly what you need to adjust.

Thread your machine with the presser foot UP. The disks that control the tension (thread goes through them) are tightened up if the foot is down.

Change the machine tension with the presser foot DOWN. Because the disks won't be engaged (see above) if the foot is up, the disks won't move.

Start at the middle setting, 3. Go up to tighten, decrease to loosen. Each machine is different, even 2 different machines of the same model. The best thing to do is start at 3 and use a different color in the top and bobbin thread so you can easily see what changes to the tension do to your stitches.

Now use a straight stitch a sew 3 or so inches. Take a look at the top and bottom of the fabric. You don't want to see any (or at least not much) of the other color showing from the other side.

Loops on the bottom of the fabric means you need to tighten (increase) your top tension. If you're stitches on the bottom are causing puckering, then you need to loosen you're top tension. For the most part, you really don't want to touch your bobbin tension-leave that to a repair technician. The factory setting shouldn't be touched except by someone who really knows what they're doing.

Keep sewing a few inches at a time until you have the results you want. Now you're tension is where you need it!

How do you remove the starter from a 1995 Isuzu Trooper? I need to know EXACTLY how to do it. I know it is on the drivers side of the engine, but still cannot even see it to remove it. Am I missing...

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Raise and safely support the vehicle on jackstands.
  3. Label and disconnect the battery and starter control wires from the starter.
  4. If equipped, remove the starter bracket and/or heat shield.
  5. Remove the starter-to-engine mounting bolts.
  6. Lower the starter from the engine. If any shims are present, keep them for reinstallation purposes.

To install:
  1. Install the starter and shims, if equipped, to the engine. Tighten the mounting bolts to 30-34 ft. lbs. (39-44 Nm).
  2. Install the starter bracket and/or heat shield, if equipped.
  3. Reconnect the electrical connectors to the starter.
  4. Lower the vehicle.
  5. Connect the negative battery cable.
  6. Start the vehicle to make sure the starter functions correctly.

Have you looked at the mounting bracket for the lower hinge to see if it can be adjusted up. If not and there is as mush as 1/4 to 1/2" adjustment i suggest that you get a spacer with the inside diameter the same as the hinge pin or a tiny bit bigger and cut it to the size you need , then support the door up to a point that the bottom pin is not bound, remove the lower bracket and hinge pin, put the sleeve you cut on the hinge pin and reinstall the bracket.

I need to repalce the rear brake pads. I have 4 wheel discs and cannot figure out how to get the caliper off to replace the pads.


Look at the back side of the calipers you will see 2- 12mm bolts that hold the caliper on to the brake pad bracket just unbolt and replace pads. Make sure you have a C clap handy to compress the caliper pisiton back into the caliper.

Bad sound when the washer goes into it's spin cycle


Your drum spider bracket broke. You will need to replace the complete drum assembly. The drum assembly will cost about $325 just for the part. If you can replace it on you own it will save you alot of money. To repalce the drum assembly you will need to completely disassemble the machine. If this is the route you want to go.
