Go to the ASUS website. You should be able to find the documentation on this motherboard which will tell you all the default settings.

CPU compatibility issues

the cpu test is something a computer does to test the board. it sounds like there is something wronge with it. pentium 4 boards very with the clock speed. it depends on the age and if it can handle. if you went from a 1.7 to a 3.2 than you might be overloading it not allowing the computer to register.
basiclly what you need to do is get you a board that is already set-up for a 3.0ghz or higher proseccor.

even through it is a p4b some of the older models can only be upgraded to a 2.0ghz.

I have pentium 4 processor & 845 GZD chipset from last one month my LCD 19 is not displaying with this board but 15 TFT monitor is OK with that so can i know how to solve this

most likely the monitor receives a signal/resolution it can't accept. Try to boot in the BIOS - if it's the same then the monitor itself is defective and you must take it to be repaired.

I added a Pentium P4 2.66Ghz cpu 533FSB, Bios appears and says the due to new cpu installed system has started at 64Mhz please select correct Frequency. I select 2667 Ghz and 133Mhz saved and restarted....

Turn the computer off.
Turn the computer on.
Wait a minute or two -- it may "time-out" and reset it to the "slowest" speed.

If that fails, look closely at the motherboard,
or read the manual for the motherboard, to find a "clear BIOS" jumper.
Turn the computer off. Move the jumper from "1-2" to "2-3".
Wait a few seconds. Move the jumper back to "1-2".
Turn the computer on, with the "default" settings.

Forgotten password ASUS P4P800-VM

There is a blue jumper located just below the lithium battery on the motherboard. You need to remove the jumper and move it to the two pins on the right for about 10 seconds to clear the CMOS then move the jumper back to where you found it. That should clear out the password. It will also change all the BIOS settings back to factory so adjustments to the BIOS may need to be made after reset.

Can I use Pentium 4, frequency 3.0 GHz with Asus P4B?

Asus support says the fastest CPU you can use in that MB is a P4 2.6 GHz or a Celeron 2.8 GHz.

For the P4 you need BIOS ver. 1011 and for the Celeron you need ver. 1013.004.

Here is a link to the entire list:
