I can definitely help you with this but I will need some more information from you.

1). Is it really the Sky Caddie SG4, make sure that is the actual model number please and let me know.

2). Does the device power on and appear to work fine otherwise, you just can't enter new golf courses?

3). Does it give you any specific error messages when you try to put in the course?

Please let me know and I can answer your questions.

Thanks
Tim

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

Have the batteries individually load tested. All it takes is one weak or bad one to kill the others. A s volt meter won't do. They need to be load tested.

Do golf courses have dress codes?

Yeah,do have dress code for many golf courses, But some of the municipal golf courses dont have dress codes, in this case you must be dress code. In general, a collared shirt and dockers style shorts or slacks are get you onto most golf courses.A very small number of (mostly private luxury) courses even have no-shorts rules, for dress code.Visit Lee Valley Golf & Country Club for best Golf Courses in Cork . When I turn on my skycaddie at the golf course or at home , I geta message, could not start Application

Are you sure you have registered the device with Skycaddie? If not theedsahe will continue to appear.
I would call them make sure you have all the information they will need on hand (model number, etc).
They are very helpful and can even download the course there and then to your device for you if it is not all ready loaded. Hope this helps.

garmin 5 is not a golflogix product, might want to reclass your question to get people that know it.

My Golflogic reads the course but then I cannot scroll up to first hole.

Thats an easy one. Go into the course manager software where you load courses and press Help. Choose the option that says "how do i restore my unit" and then click restore. Plug in the GPS and turn it on. after it says its restored, turn it off, then back on (the gps, not the computer) and load your courses again. You should be good to go!

Can i down load golf courses to my garmin 260 i was told at the store this was possibble but i cant find any info on the garmin 260 gps on the garmin web site to tell me that i can do this. Or do i have to...

It's "possible" to use the 260 as a golf GPS unit, but it probably isn't going to be the golf tool the guy at the store promised.

1. There aren't any golf maps available for this unit, other than ones that have been created by users. 2. The 260 displays distance in feet or miles: is that a 5-iron? 3. The battery life is about 9 holes on the Nuvi series.

On the other hand, if you want to have a navigation GPS and also use it on the golf course, then you can check out the details on this website:
http://www.wideopenwest.com/~don_barger/nuvi-software.html

There are free maps for download and a web-based tool for creating your own golf maps.

Adding a new course

You must be sure the SkyCaddie is turned on and connected to your computer. You should then launch the SkyCaddie desktop software that you should already have loaded onto your computer. The two should automatically connect and should take you to your golf course listing on the device. From this list, you can add or remove golf courses to your device by either clicking on the ADD button or the REMOVE button on the list, whichever process you want to perform.
