Question about HP Compaq ProLiant DL380 G3 Server
Without any reason (maybe a lightning strike??) one of my RAID 5 configured HDD (of type: Compaq 72,8 Ultra 3 SCSI) started flashing red on the second led (on the Drive) a certain morning. I've restarted the server and pulled out the failed drive, during an hour the led was flashing green after I restarted, but then after that returned into red flashing again. Because the HDD are quite expensive I was wondering if there was something else I could try to fix the problem, befoire buying a new one.

You can run "chkdsk /r" coomand to recover your harddisk.
Also if you can delete partition and then create new partition thehn format it so all errors are fixed .

Its a Symptom of HDD Failure.No choice HDD has to be replaced.
