Question about Gateway DLP56TV 56" Rear Projection Television
Try to clean whit a compressed air all the areas and then turn on you TV to see if one of the fan's doesn't work.
you need to look if you can replace the part so you can buy a new one or its just the dust..
if not it can over heat and then you will need to buy another part .

Make sure there is no dust on the fan or around it. It may be having a hard time pumping because of air flow restriction. If there is not dust and plenty of air flow, then I don't think there is anything you can personally do because the problem may be in the tv's motherboard software setup
