Question about Ricoh Aficio CL5000 Laser Printer
To replace waste toner 1 or 2:
Open the front cover slowly with both hands.
Take out new toner from the bag.
Remove the waste toner slowly from its position by pinching the lever and pulling the handle. Be certain to hold the toner in a level position. Insert the new one in the same position.
Now, to reset waste toner (if toner 1 or 2 is out of position), just remove and reinsert toner.
Hope this helps.

Couple of things to try: - If you just emptied the waste cartridge then you have to take the bottle back out and clean the insides as well. The sensor sees the toner on the walls and still thinks it?s full. FYI as typical the manufacturer recommends replacing the bottle with a brand new one. - If not that then you may have toner covering the optical sensor. Try blowing the area where the waste bottle attaches to the printer with canned air. Let us know if you have any other questions and please don?t forget to rate this post.

I have a CLX-2160N and have just emptied my own waste toner container. (Disclaimer: not sure how toxic or environmentally friendly this is).
Emptied carefully and thoroughly (fine dust). Immersed in bowl of warm soapy water, and vigorous shaking to get nice and clean.
Shook all water out well, and dried off as much as possible. Reinstalled. Turned printer back on. Hey presto - seems happy.

Hello there :
in the main menue of the printer there is a option that lets you reset it to zero but if this is a buisness printer you might have to have the company come and set it for you cause theire somtimes is a code that is entered to get to the main menue
