Question about Apple iPhone Smartphone
My wifes silent switch on the side of her iPhone was stuck in silent mode....no ringing. The switch was apperently broken and loose. It is repairable, but it will cost you a lot.
BUT you can as a solution do this:
Take a small drill or a small knife (Leatherman micra) and simply try to remove the plastic knob(1.st gen). You can now reach the little sliding switch with a paperclip or similar and get the phone in to NORMAL mode. Don`t recommend to use this feature to switch on/off silent mode, but use volume settings or flightmode to lower ringvolume. Use som scotch-tape to cover the hole where the knob was.
Dont try to take short cuts. They make make things worse. Just send it in to iphone recharge. They can open it and maybe fix it without any parts (cheaper).
Try iphone recharge.
