    It stands for Error 46 Regular Buffer (memory) full, reduce memory

I also face this probem .. stupid casio. more high end product more lousy quality..

i dun use plu and 4 department only... when 115 item on sale the reg buffet error e046 pop up.stupid cash register

Hi.
It means the registration buffer is full. This is where the machine stores the products in the current sale. It means that the customer is purchasing so many items that it has filled the memory for the current sale. You need to do the sale in 2 parts if this happens. pay for the sale so far with a payment button e.g CASH CREDIT etc, then put the rest of their items into the next sale and pay for that.
If this problem happens often, then you need to open more memory which is not always easy as it is an initial dealer setting. see how you get on.

If during a sale, turn the key back to the REG position and finalize the sale/transaction. If this has not fixed/removed the error, then turn the keys to the X position and press the SUBTOTAL button. Then turn the keys back to REG position.

Hi! Having trouble with my casio te2400 epos system. Getting error message E046 and have tried all the solutions I could find online to no avail!


"REG BUFFER FULL". This means you have rung up a large amount of items in one sale without finalising with a payment type. Normally, you can press CLEAR (C) and then press a payment type e.g CASH. If not, then you have overflowed it to the point of no return (just for this sale), so try this:
Turn key to PROGRAM mode. Turn power off at wall. Hold RECEIPT FEED down - keep your finger on it. Turn power on at wall. Wait 5 seconds, then let go of RECEIPT FEED. You should see "FFFFFFFFFF" on display. Press SUBTOTAL and wait 5 seconds.
This should take you to program screen. Now turn key back to REG and try it. You may have to log on again.
Note: This normally does not cancel all of the items in the sale, so they will still be on your daily report, but at least you get control back again. Next time, don't ring up so many items. Use tracking (tabs) for that.

Casio tk 6500, error codes E046 and E029, how ever when we use the above reset diagram it clears but then on total it minus a penny every time we cash


You have probably programmed a pre-set onto the cash button. It is a common mistake. Do the half reset again to jump out of the sale, then try this:
Turn key to program mode 1 SUBTOTAL 0 CASH SUBTOTAL 3 SUBTOTAL 0 CASH SUBTOTAL
Turn back to REG mode and try it.

I have a casio te 4000f and it will not let anyone ring in when sub total pressed it is counting down in 1p also saying buffer full??? help


Ok. See if you can get rid of the buffer full error for a start. try pressing clear (C) then press Subtotal. You should see an amount on the display. Now press the ERR CORR/ CANCEL button. This should stop the sale that you are stuck in.
Turn the key to Program mode. If it gives error as you turn the key, then you haven't finshed in REG, turn back to REG and try to end the sale first.
If you see P01 on the display, it has worked and then do this:
1 SUBTOTAL 0 CASH SUBTOTAL 3 SUBTOTAL 0 CASH SUBTOTAL.
Now turn back to REG and try it.
If it still didn't work, let me know what happened, and I'll show you another method

What does an error eo46 reg buffer mean on a casio te2200 cash reg. The troubleshooting guide simply says it us full but indication of how to clear it :(


it means you have entered too many items into a single sale. Try this
Turn key to PROGRAM mode. Turn power off at wall. Hold RECEIPT FEED down - keep your finger on it. Turn power on at wall. Wait 5 seconds, then let go of RECEIPT FEED. You should see "FFFFFFFFFF" on display. Press SUBTOTAL. Now turn back to REG mode and try it. You may have to log in if you see error 8

Wont let us change anything comes up with operater mistake


Hi.
Have you tried a flag clear? That might allow you to clear the buffer if it is a REG buffer overflow. as for pricing, you should just be able to go into prog 1 and change PLU prices.
If you are not sure how to flag clear it, just let me know.

My Sharp Cash Register (ER-A410) won't turn on in manager mode


Hi.
It is usually caused by a faulty or dirty mode switch. The first thing to try is squirting a bit of electrical lube down the key hole (WD40 or similar works fine), then turn the key back and forth a few times. Otherwise, the contacts inside the switch may have failed. I have also had a loose connector on the main board cause this in another model, so you could try pushing the connectors inside and make sure they are tight.

Hope this helps. You can set the void button to work in REG mode if you don't want to get the MGR mode fixed. Just let me know and I can look up the codes for you. You should be able to refund items as well (unless this has been set work in MGR mode also).
