When reinstalling Win XP Pro on a Toshiba Tecra A2. At the EULA page the
F8=I agree or ECS=I do not agree, the F8 key does not respond.

- Thanks - Any hints what key or key combination to use? I have tried the FN key combinations, all the other F keys to no avail.

-   I'm having a similar problem installing an OEM version of XP Home, except on a desktop computer with a microsoft elite ergonomic keyboard. I have a version of XP already installed and was trying to install over it. For me escape to cancel works, the arrow keys for the EULA work, just F8 to accept doesn't work.-   Guest

Sounds like the keyboard mapping on your laptop is non-standard in some way, and so the installer is waiting for F8 coming from a different key. Try the other function keys and work your way around the keyboard until you find what F8 is mapped to.

It is also possible you have a bad keyboard, but this is pretty rare.

Check for an F Lock key on your keyboard.

By pressing it, it should activate your F Keys and F8 should work as advertised.
