SOURCE: Install cd for monsoon

What makes you think you need special drivers for your Monsoon speakers? Do other speakers work properly when hooked up to your PC? Borrow a pair from somebody else if you don't have any other speakers you can try, and check. If they don't work either, Monsoon drivers are not your problem. I'm not saying nobody ever needs drivers for speakers to work with a computer, but normally, drivers for the speakers are not the issue if you're not getting sound through them.

The sound card driver and sound settings in BIOS, sound settings in Windows and for the sound card, and physical issues about the way the speakers are hooked up or whether the speakers themselves are functional are much more common sources of trouble than drivers for the speakers.

If that one doesn't seem to address your issue, try websearching for other options with a phrase such as: troubleshoot no sound PC speakers.

My JVC cd receiver model Kd R-310 reads protect on the display and won't work. I cut the wires to try to install it in my 2002 grand am. Can this be fixed?

Repair cost would exceed replacement cost. Try disconnecting all the speakers and see if it works then. Try reconnecting each speaker by itself and see if that causes the problem. Most grand am have the monsoon sound syatem...even if they aren't labeled as such. Pull the carpet in the trunk on the left (drivers) side wheel well. The monsoon amp is located over the wheel if you have a monsoon system. If you have to remove the amp then you must change the speakers out or rewire them as the monsoon system uses bi amp speakers. Most of the ga forums have extensive write ups on this system.

VIBE OPTISOUND line out pc

Hi. A model number and the speaker models will help.

Sounds like you need to go from the green 3.5 mm jack to the two phone sockets marked "input" on the sub. White left, Red right.

"output" RCA sockets look to go to your speakers but without model numbers I can't see if they'd need to be powered or not.

Ac adapter for my GE speaker system

This is an old type of PC speaker system. Can it be powered by batteries. How many batteries needed??
Multiply the number of batteries by 1.5 volts and you
get the voltage rating of your needed adapter. You can also take a look at the back of these GE speakers. Maybe you can find the voltage rating.
You may also consider buying a new set of PC speaker that can be plug direct to your power outlet.
You can buy it at a cost slightly higher than your
needed adapter.

Hello, I have a 2000 VW passat with a Monsoon radio system. How do you install a new head unit and speakers while maintaining the factory amp? If this is impossible, Can I use the current speaker wires...

Hello ctr1russo,
While it's not impossible to install a new head unit and speakers and leave the factory amp, it'll be a real bear of an install.
In order to work, the Monsoon amp needs 6v which is provided on the speaker leads. An aftermarket head unit will not provide that. Best to just install a new amp.
You should be able to use the wiring, including the speaker wiring, with no problems.
Check out www.bestkits.com for the appropriate adapters and wiring harness for Monsoon equipped vehicles. Just enter your vehicle info and it should bring up the required adapters and harnesses to make everything work properly.
There are three ways to connect more than one speaker to a single channel: 1) Parallel - both speaker +'s and -'s wired together - load impedance will be halved (2 4-ohm speakers in parallel equal a 2-ohm load). 2) Series - The + of one speaker wired to the - on the other speaker and the remaining + and - going to the channel output - load impedance will be doubled (2 4-ohm speakers wired in series equal an 8-ohm load). 3) Using a crossover - connect the bass speaker (woofer) and the input of a high-pass filter directly to the channel output and the treble (tweeter) speaker to the output side of the filter. In any of these connections, you want to make sure that the load (ohms) your amp "sees" is not less than it is rated for. Most amps will work into a 4-ohm or a 2-ohm load with no problems. Going below 2-ohms is bad, because it will cause the amp to overheat and possible fail. Going above 4-ohms is no problem for the amp, but it won't produce as much power (watts) at the higher impedance and your speakers will not be as loud as they could be.
Hope this helps. If it does, please rate as "FixYa:. Thanks!

the very best way to solve your problem, go to the electronic store and ask a dc power supply adapter 15volt 2A,vice versa polarity. with universal connector for it sure you can select the right type connector do you have for it fit to the back socket of your unit. before you connect read the correct polarity of your device you see label at back (+, -). and set the polarity output of the adapter correspond to your unit,,,
